Methodology :
Activity 1:
Brainstorming: Recapitulate the previous lesson through RSQC2. Students torecall,
summarize, question, connect and comment on the learnt concepts.
 After previous lesson’s recap, introduce new vocabularythrough board work.
 Students to discuss how do they react when some friend is not feeling well, how would they help.
Suggest different situations,elicit students’ responses and write them on white board.
Activity 2:
 Students after listening to the audio track 55 will discuss whathappens and how people try to
extend help. Give chance to each student to share their understanding.
 Write few words that have silent letters in their spellings and discuss how some letters are a part of a
word but they have nosound.Discuss the importance of providing immediate medical help.Emphasize
upon feeling the pain and problems of others andextending help.
Activity 3:
 Suggest the emergency situations other than the ones given intext and students will share
their reactions and helping ways for that medical emergency.
Activity:
 Students will work in pairs; each pair will select a situation and role play a dialogue between two
friends as one of them is notwell and the other is trying to help.
Students will listen to the audio track 56 and read the poemseveral times to practice the pronunciation,
rhythm and intonation.

and read about Ayesha & Daoud’s busy routine all week.
Activity 3:
 Students will first read the speech bubbles silently and then listen to the audio track 57.
Afterwards students will match thestatements with their speakers.
Write:
 Discuss Adverbs of Manner with examples from the Languagetip box. Students will make sentences
using adverbs of manner.
 Let students discuss which is the best exercise in their opinion.After discussion students will write 5
sentences about their favourite exercise in notebooks.

Activity 1:
Prepare the flash cards of characters and vocabulary from pgs. 24-27
Pre Reading: Students to guess the story from the title and cover illustration. Show flash cards of picture
words for making students familiar with characters to anticipate the story.
Students to predict the upcoming story line by looking at the picture illustration beside the text

Activity 2:
Play the audio of story reading till page 27 from the following digital resource.

 Students will read the text by taking turns following the pronunciation and intonation pattern.
Highlight how a punctuation mark affects the intonation pattern. They are to relate the text with
pictures given along the text.
 Discussion about the events, characters &vocabulary will take place.Students to underline verbs
in the text. Students to read the text again and identify ‘who said this, to whom’.
Activity 3:
Afterwards students will read the text one by one following the pronunciation and intonation pattern.
Explain the story in simple words for students’ comprehension. Encourage students to guess the
meaning of difficult words using their prior knowledge and the context; afterwards write the difficult
words and their meanings on whiteboard
