Perforated PVC pipe At the bottom, Techdrain is connected to perforated PVC pipe of 150mm diameter confirming to IS ‘4985-2000 to drain off the water from reinforced soll structure. The perforations of 8-10 mm giameter shall be provided in upper half portion or pipe at 25 mm clc spacing in triangular grid. PVC pipe shall be conform to class 3 of IS 4985-2000, INSTALLATION SEQUENCE The installation sequence for TechDrain shall be followed as described below: A Site preparation. B. Installation of the TechOrain 10. Site Preparation The surface on which the TechDrain isto be installed shall be free from any oilgrease or any sharp objects/edges. TechDrain starting lvel to be marked on panel Installation of the TechDraln The TechDrain roll shall be opened up to the required length on flat surface. The length and wieth of TochDrain shall be measured and cut as per site requirement. Before installation, perforated PVC pipe shall be wrapped with Nonwoven Geotextile. PVC pipe shall have Perforations of 8-10 mm diameter provided at 25 mm clc spacing in triangular gid, At the required level, the perforated PVC pipe and TechDrain assembly shall be laid as per the drawings. To wrap the perforated PVC pipe, geotextile of the TechOrain shall be opened in such a manner that it completely wraps the perforated PVC pipe. A shuttering tape shall be pasted on the geotextile to prevent any unwrapping. While wrapping the TechDrain around pipe. Care shall be laken thatthe draining core isin direct contact with pipe. {At the junction ofthe two TechDrain sheets, 100mm overlap of Geotextile shall be ensures. Ifthe overlap edges of Geotextile are available, then the TechDrain is provided with the but joint. If there are no extended edges, 100mm wide geotextle shall be provided atthe junction of 2 rolls and shall be sealed with tape. Depencing upon the gradient ground level and preferably at every 30m interval the transverse drainage pipes shall be connected to the longitudinal perforated PVC pipe for allowing the collected water to flow out Proper care shall be taken so that TechDrain will remain in the position during the period of construction TechDrain geocomposite shall not be exposed to daylight (or any source of ultra-violet radiation) for a period exceeding 50 hours. It is exposed to ultra-violet radiation fora period more than 60 hours, then it shall be wrapped with tarpaulin or opaque plastic sheet for protection. TechDrain Geocomposite shall be laid in such a fashion that machine direction of the Drainage Composite shall be in vertical direction and Crass Machine Direction of Geocompasite shall be in Horizontal cirection of wall
