Introduction
Mosquito is a small flying insect known for its irritating bites. Mosquito
belong to the family Culicidae and are found all over the world, except in
extremely cold environment and it is also known for transmitting diseases such
as malaria, dengue fever, Zeka virus, and west Nile virus. They are most active
during dusk and dawn and are attracted to warm bodies and carbon dioxide.
Dengue fever is a viral infection that spreads from mosquitos to people, it is
more common in tropical and subtropical climates. Health authorities reported
roughly 226,497 case of dengue fever nationwide in the Philippines in 2022,
78, 208 cases in 2021, and 90,135 cases in 2020. To prevent dengue, we
should use insect repellent, wear long-sleeves shirt and long pants, and control
mosquito inside and outside of our home. Insect repellant are commonly
available in our community in a form of liquid (bigun insecticide of limit lotion)
and mosquito coil repellant (bigun katol, tiger, baoma). Due to its chemical,
this proposal will address to minimize harmful effect. We are going to produce
coil mosquito killer made from a neem tree leaves and other ingredient readily
available in our locality. Neem tree scientifically known as Azadirachta Indica is
a tropical evergreen tree native to the Incline subcontinent, it is a versatile tree
that has been highly value for its medical and insecticide properties for
centuries. Neem trees are also known to repel insect and pest making them
beneficial for organic farming practices.
