RS = peak response ratio of acetaminophen or caffeine

Acetaminophen and Caffeine Tablets to the internal standard from the Standard
DEFINITION solution
Acetaminophen and Caffeine Tablets contain NLT 90.0% and CS = concentration of USP Acetaminophen RS or USP
NMT 110.0% of the labeled amounts of acetaminophen Caffeine RS in the Standard solution (mg/mL)
(C8H9NO2) and caffeine (C8H10N4O2). CU = nominal concentration of acetaminophen or
caffeine in the Sample solution (mg/mL)
IDENTIFICATION
• A. The retention times of the major peaks of the Sample Acceptance criteria: 90.0%–110.0% of acetaminophen
solution correspond to those of the Standard solution, (C8H9NO2) and caffeine (C8H10N4O2)
relative to the internal standard, as obtained in the Assay.
