Driven by a greater care for people’s

health and the environment plant
owners in the pharmaceutical,
biotechnology and food industries are
focusing increasingly on the control of
their production processes.

Seals are of great importance as they

are essential for the separation of the
production media and the outside
world. There is also an increasing
concern for any additives in traditional
sealing materials that could potentially
migrate into the production system
and cause contamination of the
media.

Already in 1998 ERIKS started a broad

scientific research on seals for high
purity applications. In close
collaboration with independent
research centres in both Europe and protection
the USA and with the assistance of
leading seals manufacturers like
DuPont Dow Elastomers, ERIKS
developped a full range of ‘high purity’ certification
seals and sealing components. These
products are designed to offer plant
operators the highest level of process
safety and reliability. Together with
integrity
these products ERIKS readily offers
specialized technical support to seals
users.

O-rings
ERIKS has introduced a range of
compounds which are in conformance
with the norms for contact with food
and pharmaceuticals. ERIKS also
produces a range of FDA conform
O-rings up to diameter 5000 mm in as
much as 30 different compounds.

Teflex O-rings
By using high performance products
from DuPont Dow Elastomers we are
able to offer Teflex encapsulated O-
rings, which are of the highest purity
and posses an optimal chemical
resistance.
Dynamic seals
ERIKS also offers a comprehensive
range of FDA conform oil seals,
V-rings, hydraulic seals, rubber profi-
les or mouldings. In addition ERIKS is
a specialist in braided packings and
mechanical seals including revision
services.
