The Topic of my today’s presentation is how are Prince Polo wafers made.

Prince Polo is a well-known polish chocolate wafer that is sold in many European countries. It was
originally introduced in 1995 by Olza SA in Cieszyn. For years it was the only sold chocolate wafer,
making Prince Polo immensely popular in these regions.

I’ll start describing the process of Prince Polo production by saying what is Prince Polo made of. It
consists of 4 layers of wafer sheets, 3 layers of cocoa cream and dessert chocolate. Each of the
ingredients is carefully checked in laboratory before entering the production line.

The production begins from wafer sheet. The dough is primarily made of flour and water. The
ingredients are automatically dosed on the basis of a special recipe. Next, we mix all the ingredients
with a mixer and finished dough is poured into a tank and from there to a suitable oven. In the oven,
using a spout, the dough goes into the form. Then, on the coolers, they’re reaching the room
temperature.

The second stage of production is the cream preparation. Cocoa and sugar go to the grinding mixer.
All ingredients are precisely mixed and cream changes its form from liquid to powder. Next, the
confectionery fat is added in the liquefying mixer and precisely prepared cream in liquid form is spread
between wafers sheets at production line.

After checking if the weight of wafer is correct, it goes to the press machine where it is lightly pressed.
Then, ready wafer is transported to the cooler, where it cools down so it will be possible to cut them
into smaller pieces with dimensions of the wafer we can buy in the shop.

Last stage of preparation is coating the wafer with dessert chocolate. Ready wafer go to the cooling
tunnel for last time, and after the cooling process – into the packing machine. At the end, cardboard
boxes with wafers are weighted once again and if everything is correct, a sticker with the expiration
date of wafers is attached.

And finally, ready wafers are delivered to the stores.
