THE TOY CAR

‘ Who has an older brother or sister? Have they ever forced you to do
anything?
With my mom, yes! My mom is called Mara, and her older brother forced her
to help him! Mara had three brothers, two older brothers and a younger sister.
Mara´s family was traveling to Foz do Iguaçu. They were staying in a small hotel.
José Antonio, Mara´s father, left the hotel with one of the brothers and the younger
sister.
Maria, Mara´s mother, was taking a shower, and my mom and Cesar, the
older brother, were playing with a toy car ...Vrooooom! Vrooooom! The toy car fell
out the window and Cesar couldn´t stop crying. He wanted to play with the toy car
very much!
He was only eight years old and Mara, my mom, four. As he wanted very
much to play with his new toy car, he had the brilliant idea of asking little Mara to
help him. So, he held my mom upside down out the window for her to grab the toy
from the window sill.
Little Mara shouted because she was scared. My grandmother heard the
noise and saw the scary scene. Silently and quiet, Maria approached the two kids
and at once grabbed Mara by the leg, saving her from a possible tragedy!
My grandma got very angry with my uncle Cesar and gave him a hard time.
But the most important thing was that everyone was safe, and the family could
continue the trip!
