ABOUT

"Jane" is the story of an ancient (at that time) widow. She is unremarkable, a self-
made gray mouse. But everything changes when 50-year-old Jane meets Gilbert, a
young architect who is in love with her. The man proposed to marry him five times,
and in the end, she agreed. According to her, she did not feel love for her husband.
Gilbert helped her transform and become a charming woman. He invented clothes
and hairstyles for his beloved. He offered to change the eternal glasses to a monocle.
Loved and believed in her unconditionally. And then Jane became the most
fashionable celebrity in London. She was funny, witty. Her exclamatory Tuesdays
gathered all the cream of society and each of them looked into her mouth. Every
word of Jane is worth its weight in gold. But later she left Gilbert and married
another man - Reginald, whom she fell in love with.
FAVOURITE MOMENT
My favorite moment is when Mrs. Tower and the narrator first meet and see Jane's
fiancé. It was an interesting moment because Mrs. Tower's reaction was funny. They
expected to see a somehow scary and strange man, but a handsome and attractive
young man appeared before them.
