This document provides information on the compatibility of various IV medications when administered with different types of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions through a Y-site connection. It lists medications and their active ingredients as well as whether they are compatible, incompatible, or have an uncertain compatibility when mixed with two common TPN solutions - TPN (2 in 1) and TNA (3 in 1) - or the lipid emulsion SMOFlipid. Many medications are compatible with one or more of the TPN solutions but some, like 5-fluorouracil or amiodarone, are incompatible with all solutions listed.
