how does it spread?


All ages are susceptible to acquire Pertussis, but infants &
children are the most at risk for this illness, as this can lead
to further complications like Pneumonia. The bacteria spread
from person to person through tiny drops of fluid from an
infected person's nose or mouth. Symptoms arises 5 to 15 days
after exposure to the causing bacteria.

signs and prevention:


symptoms: Children need five doses of DTaP
Cough persisting for 2 weeks (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis)
or more vaccine which begins at 2 months
