The lovely bones ( Review )

In The Lovely Bones, a 14-year-old girl named Susie Salmon is raped and
murdered by her neighbor, George Harvey, who we eventually discover is
responsible for the murders of multiple girls in numerous states. Initially,
one of Susie’s body parts and a hat that her mother had given her were
found, but the rest of her body was dumped in a safe and thrown into a
sinkhole. Her mother, Abigail did not deal with her death well and ends up
having an affair with Susie’s murder investigator, Len Fenerman, who
struggles to find her murderer or even believe Susie’s father and sister when
they tell him it’s Harvey. After her death, Susie cannot go to heaven until she
lets go of Earth, but she is compelled to stay and watch as her sister grows
up, loses her virginity, and marries her love, Samuel, as her Grandma Lynn
steps in to help the family, as her brother, Buckley, reaches his teen years,
as her Father, Jack, risks it all to find her murderer, as Ruth, who is the only
one able to sense her, becomes best friends (sometimes even more than
friends) with her love, Ray, and lastly, as her mother slowly starts to fade
away before coming back home once her husband has a heart attack. She
watches and sometimes comes down to visit as she wishes she could’ve had
the same chances to grow up.
