Subject: Call for nominations for the 2024 UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s
Education

Sir/Madam,

It is my pleasure to invite your organization to submit nominations for the 2024 edition of
the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education.

This Prize, created by the UNESCO Executive Board in 2015 and supported by the
People’s Republic of China, will be awarded to two laureates in 2024, each of whom will
receive US $50,000.

Each Non-Governmental Organization in official partnership with UNESCO may present


up to three nominees for the Prize. UNESCO encourages all organizations concerned
to launch a selection process and to publicly announce their selected nominees.

Nominations must be submitted in English or French by midnight 24 May 2024 at the


latest (UTC+1, Paris time). Please contact the Prize Secretariat
(GWEPrize@unesco.org) to request access to the online nominations platform or if you
require any further information about the Prize and the nomination process.
