Physical characteristics 6.1.1 isthe responsibilty ofthe Contractor to agree with Transco the specific properties ned for the insulating materials used on any particular contract. The Contractor shall tate the make and grade ofthe ‘insulating materials proposed together with the manufatarersdslared value of thermal conductivity a the design temperature (expressed in Wim K). ‘The insulating material proposed for any application sll have the general physical charateritcs specific in BS 3958, BS 5422 and BS 5970 (except where otherwise specified in his specification) and shall comply With the requirements in 6.1.1.2 o 6.11.40 incase, 7 6.11.2 The insulating materials shall be suitable forthe specified conditions of use and thet physical properties shall main within the tolerances allowed in this and any ober relevant insulating material, standard specifications (eg.
