Laboratory~ A Laboratory/inspection department shall be maintained which shall be suitably equipped and staffed, where tests shall be carried out in accordance with the methods given in the specification. 141 All the testing apparatus shall be periodically checked and calibrated and records of such checks shall be maintained. 2. — Records= All records of tests and inspection shall be kept in suitable forms approved by the Bureau. 2.1 Copies of any records and charts that may be required by the Bureau shall be made available at any time on requi 1 2.2 It 4s recommended that as far:as possible, satistical quality control (sac) methods may be used for controlling quality during production as envisaged in this scheme [; see 15:397-(Pt 1)1972 ;. . 15:397(Pt 21985 and 18:397(Part 3)-1980_]+ : 3. - Each steel conduit shall carry the-Standard Mark as given in Column (1) of the First Schedule of the licence in the form of a transfix label, provided always that each steel conduit so marked conforms to every requirement of the specification. 4 ‘Mazking- In additionseach length of the steel conduit shall be marked near any one end of the length with the following information: 8) Manufacturer'sname or recognized trade mark b) Country of manufacture ¢) Nominal size of the conduit 4.1 In addition to the information given above, the label attached to each bundle of steel conduits shall contain the following information also. a) Quantity b) Class of conduit {according to 5 of IS: 9537(part 2) -1981] ¢) Identification in code or otherwise to enable the date and lot of manufacture to be traced back to, tory records. 5. Replacements Whenever a complaint is received soon after the goods with Certification Mark have been purchased and used, and if there is adequate avidence that the goods have not been misused, defective goods or their components are replaced or repaired free of cost by the licensee ((Where applicable) has not expired. OBB ALEC S pibt obo ES gOS RE BONERS OF Pha Sree 10, — Susvension of marking The marking ofethe product shall be suspended under intimation to the Bursa: if, at any time there is some difficutty in maintaining the conformity of the product to the specification, or the testing equipment goes out of order or if directed to do so by the Bureau for any reason, The marking may be esumed as soon as the defects are removed or when the Bureau gives the permission to do so. The information regarding resumption of marking shall aleobe sent to the Bureau. 14. Production Data= The licensee shall send to the Bureau, as per the enclosed proforma, a statement of the quantity produced, marked and exported by him and the trade value there of during the half year ending 30 June and 31 December. This statement is required to be forwarded to the Bureau on or before the 31st day of July and January for the preceding half year.
