pretty much her whole life. And I can’t get this little
head to eat anything vegetable related, so I’m
hoping at the very least I can get her switched to
pellet food because that has a lot more veggies and
fruits in it than what she’s eating. So anybody got
recommendations and tricks to get her to eat
healthier. I am planning on just slowly adding the
new food in and taking the old stuff out. I bought a
few different food blends for her to try. Sensible seed
is what she has been eating.

Also try Lafebers Nutriberries as a treat to
incorporate more veggies and fruits!!!
They might be good to attempt!

Hey, I am still learning with the Quakers
but I do find that if they see you eating
something, they instantly want it. I share
some apples, grapes, Cherries, spinach,
sugar snaps, carrots with them (some of it
I just pretend to it to get them to try it).
Other option is to have this fruit skewer
stick with fresh fruit or veg daily. Hope
this helps x

We do a Birdy Bread made with
Roudybush California blend with Fruits n
veggies baked in… was very helpful
getting the flock to start eating healthy…
the only ones we are still struggling with
🤣
are our African greys… but that’s a
diffrent story ..

My birds weren’t the fruits and veggie fan
before. I had to try so many things and in
a so many sizes.
Now they eat cocked rice, quinoa, snow
peas, green beans, cilantro, carrots,
peppers, broccoli, sweet potatoes. I try to
add new vegetables every week but they
get rice and quinoa everyday along with
vegetables.

I recommend roudybush or lafeber pellets
and a few nutriberries every few days. Mix
with seed first or a little bit of apple juice
can help transition. Just keep working on
the veggies. I would chop them up tiny
with a veggie chopper while she gets used
to them and even add a tiny bit of seed to
it so the veggies stick to the seeds. She’s
more likely to accidentally eat the veggies
that way when she tries to eat the seeds.
You might not need to chop up the
veggies in the future if she enjoys a
variety of them but if you find she’s only
into one type of veg it can be helpful to
cont to chop it tiny for a simila... See more

Lafeber, RoundyBush or Harrison’s are the
3 most popular pellet brands. Look for
basic brown pellets (Cocktail-sized) with
no artificial dyes/colors. Introduce them
with the seed that your bird is used to little
by little until you get them up to a
primarily pellet diet.
I go give mine a tiny bit of the ZuPreen
FruitBlend Flavor everyday, but only a tiny
bit along with brown pellets, a little bit of
mixed seed and then fresh veggies/fruit.

My birds like those bird greens mixed in
with their regular food. Another trick is to
to offer them a piece of fruit or vegetable
off of your plate. My conure has to be
