Some people like to travel with companions. Others prefer to travel alone.

Which do you
prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

Travelling is a way of getting to know new places, new people, new cultures and, over all
of these reasons, having a nice time. Some people argue that traveling alone is the best way to
get to know yourself and learn to solve situations on your own. They also say that being alone
forces them to meet new people and make friends. I agree with them on those ideas, but in my
particular case, I would prefer to travel with a companion.
As I mentioned before, one of the main reasons for traveling is having a nice time while
you explore an unknown country or city. As I consider myself a person who speaks a lot, I could
not imagine being on my own an entire day without commenting about the place or making jokes
about daily situations with anybody. Besides this, another aspect of my personality is that I am
not a very proactive or decisive person, so I can imagine myself getting lost in a train station or
not deciding where to go.
In conclusion, to prevent any probable bad times or loss of orientation, at this moment of
my life I would prefer to travel with a friend or a relative. Because it does not matter if the two of
us have a bad orientation or a bad moment, I think that being with a companion makes every
situation less stressful. I can imagine myself laughing at the fact that we got lost instead of
getting nervous and crying on my own. So, as I mentioned before, traveling with companions is
the best option for me at this moment.
