THE RULE

My dear people,
I am your mayor, Elif Nur TÜRKÇÜER. I am writing a letter to you today to
explain the important decisions which I have made. Firstly, we do not want to
our city to be pollited, however I see that pollution has increased lately, and this
trash is cigarette butts usually. At the same time, there is air and water pollution.
The cigarette butts which are thrown into the river are killing the animals who
living in the river. Then, we need to oxygen to live, however you are polluting
these life sources. It is cricial to protect our environment and preserve these life
sources. You are putting at risk your health and quality of life. Respiratory tract
diseases have increased. I want to my people to live healthy and peaceful.
Therefore, I will ban smoking. Cigarettes will not be sold in supermarkets. The
fine will be $1000. Stay healthy.
Mayor Elif Nur TÜRKÇÜER

Dear Mayor,

I do not agree with your idea. If you ban smoking, no one will stay in this city. If
the streets and rivers are dirty, clean them! I do not care about my health, and
while I smoke, I feel very peaceful! Everyone thinks like me. Banning smoking
is not a solution. You should create smoking areas or punish people who throw
cigarette butts on the ground. Please consider my letter. Do not ban cigarettes.

Sincere regards.
