ROLE PLAY FROM ENGLISH DAY PHASE 1 – 5

The story is about school friends meeting up in the school canteen and have to discuss
math problems such as fraction. They gather with their own classmate after the school session
is over. One of their friend is bring in a couple of guesses from another school to share the
problems.
After the all meet up, the discussion is more casual such as, greetings, introduction,
talking about favorite food and music just like in the English Day guidance from phase 1 until
phase 5.
In the end they all happy about the conversation they’ve done, they know about
themselves and other about what they like and what they future dream.
Scene : at the school canteen.
Character: Five actors/actrees discussing math problems after school is over. Players: Mutiara,
Andi, Kania, Syfa, Lovely

SYFA : (are sitting on the school bench and she is holding some books, not long after A2
join in carrying some books)
KANIA : Hi, AGNIA how’s life?
AGNIA : pretty good, and you?
KANIA : not bad.
AGNIA : how’s your work? Finish?
KANIA : no, not all. almost!
AGNIA : me too, I am still confused about fractions
KANIA : SIFA is good at fractions but why is he not here!
(Giving approval sign to call Sifa over)
KANIA : aahhaa……….wait, I’ll give her a call.
(SIFA phone is ringing)
SIFA : hi what’s up!
AGNIA : hi SIFA where are you? we are waiting for you at the school canteen!
SIFA : I’ll be there, but if you may can I bring my friends over? They’ll be nice.
AGNIA : ok SYIFA as long as they doesn’t mind with our discussion.
(SIFA and her friends NANU and LOVELY arrives at the school canteen)
SYFA : Hi guys sorry I’m late, oh this is my friends NANU and LOVELY
(Both NANU and LOVELY doing hand shakes)
AGNIA : Whatt, NANYU?
AGNIA : Can you please spell your name?
NANU : Its N-A-N-U, NANU
AGNIA : oooh, I see…NANU right, nice to meet you.
NANU : nice to meet you guys too.
(Each of them start introducing themselves to NANU and LOVELY)
KANIA : Your name is , LOVELY is it? I think your name’s familiar.
LOVELY : Yeah My Father name me after a song, like the Song Lovely from Billy Eilish and
Khalid
KANIA : how old are you NANU?
NANU : I am 11 years old.
KANIA : and how about you LOVELY?
LOVELY : I’m 11 years old too.
AGNIA : where do you live NANU?
NANU : I live next to Duren Sawit 05 elementary school.
AGNIA : And how about you LOVELY
LOVELY : I live next to SYIFA’S so I’m her next door neighbour
KANIA : what is your hobby NANU?
NANU : my hobby is travelling.
(every one is excited of Nanu’s hobby)
KANIA : how many city and country have you visit?
NANU : I’ve been to Bali, Lake toba, sumbawa and raja ampat. And I’ve been to Korea,
Malaysia and Philiphines.
(Every one is surprise of Nanu’s travelling places!)
KANIA : Wow, that’s amazing. You really have an exiting live.
NANU : well I just have the privilege because my parents are a Lawyer and a Doctor.
AGNIA : A LAWYER and A DOCTOR! What a dream job, I dream to become a doctor
myself but I don’t know if I can make it
AGNIA : and what is your hobby LOVELY?
LOVELY : my hobby is listening to Indonesian music such as keroncong.
AGNIA : Would you like to sing for us LOVELY?
LOVELY : ok, I’ll try my best…..(singing Javanese song)
(EVERYONE GIVING APPLAUSE AND CHEERS)
(after talking for a while they become hungry and thirsty so they are ordering some foods and
drinks)
SYFA : Hey I’m thirsty I want some lechee tea do you guys want it?
KANIA : and I’m hungry, can you order it for us SYFA, Pleaseee. I’ll have fritters! How
about you AGNIA?
AGNIA : I’ll have lemon tea, how about you NANU?
NANU : No, I’m good!
SYFA : alright, I’ll order it, does any one else want to order? How about you LOVELY?
LOVELY : I don’t have any money, I’ll pass.
KANIA : poor thing, here I have some spare money to spend I’ll let you use it but I want it
back.
LOVELY : really? You’re so nice KANIA. Yes I’ll have bakmi, orange juice and some fritters,
please!
KANIA : hey not that much, I only have Rp. 20.000 to spare. Don’t spend it all.
LOVELY : (laughing) just kidding oke I’ll have donut and yogurt please.
SYFA : Ok, if you guys don’t have any thing else I’ll go to the vendor.
KANIA : Wait you forget the money!
SYFA : Ups, my bad.
KANIA : why don’t you order it Nanu?
NANU : No I’m good, I’ve already drank and ate at home.
(SYFA returns to every one and delivers his friends orders)
SYFA : yo guys, here’s your orders come and get it!
EVERY ONE : (Everyone is happy) THANKS SYFA!!
SYFA : Here’s for you NANU its on me!
NANU : Oh thank you very much SIFA.
(They continue the discussion while eating their meals until its time to go home)
AGNIA : Guys I think our discussion today if finish, its time for us to go home.
KANIA : yeah, I think its enough for today, see you tomorrow every one.
