    Dehumanization during war.

    My cartoon is set at the very beginning of the Russian Ukraine


    war where tensions were not so high.In the first panel. There is a Russian tank getting lost in

    Ukraine. A Ukraine farmer in his tractor saw them and told them they were going to Kyiv. He
    joked that he could bring them back to Russian. At the beginning, both sides saw each other
    as humans. However as the war progressed, slowly they dehumanise the opposite side. In the
    second panel, both sides see each other and monkeys. They think that it is fine to kill and
    massacre the other side. During war, we lose the ability to see the other side as humans,
    resulting in bloodshed. It becomes a ‘Us versus Them’ scenario.
