This is what it will look like:

This is what we will need:

presença" Cristiane Chaves
Gratitude practice

In October we will celabrate Thanksgiving. That's when we will share with

the other groups and families our group way to be thankfull. Be grateful
means:

Recognizing the good in ones' life.

Acknowleging who is responsible for it.

This is how I plan to have my students understand and practice gratitude

throughout this year:
Birthdays

Birthdays are special days and we want our students to feel special in
their birthdays. We also would like to have their coleagues involved in
making those days special.

This is how I plan to have my students feel special on their

birthdays.

"De onde tiramos a absurda ideia de que, para levar uma criança a agir melhor,
precisamos antes fazê-la se sentir pior?" Jane Nelsen
Rhymes and Songs

One way of making learning English enjoyable and encorage the

children to speak is to open room for songs and rhymes in our classroom
routines.

These are the songs we will start the year teaching our children.

Songs/rhymes for transitions

Songs/rhymes for classroom routines

Songs/rhymes/games for outside learning

Self-regulation strategies

Here is a brainstorm of different strategies I may use to teach my

students to self-regulate this year.

Modeling

The first 6 weeks of school are very important to model behavior and
procedures we want our students do follow independently. Here are the
situations we will focus on.
1st Parents' Meeting

In the first meeting we want parents to:

Understand what to expect from this year's class program

The group's routine and what the children are already able to do
independently

These are the situations I want to register (photo, video) to add to

my presentation to parents:
Walls

It is so important to use the walls around us to:

Organize the group routine and classroom activities

Expose important concepts and information the children may access on

their own
Help making learning visible for children and school community

On my windows this year On my door this year

On my walls/panels this year

Field Trips

Field trips are a good way to make learning more meaningful and it is
known for consolidating the work done within the school, being critical for
children's development.
Think and make a proposal for 1 or 2 tours linked with
one of the program's units and with the specialist's classes

Make sure it is good date considering the school's calendar

Discuss with peers if it is possible to make it together with another class to

optimize costs. Bear in mind that some tours should be kept for an specific
year/unit
