COMMISSIONING ASSISTANT

3. Commissioning assistant
The commissioning assistant guides you through the indi-
vidual steps for configuring a simple heating system cor-
rectly in the shortest possible time.
The following points must be carried out one after the other:
1. Configuration of the bus system
2. Setting the parameters of the individual devices on
the bus system
3. General settings (time, etc.)
4. Configuration of the room/control module

If a more complex plant is involved, it will be necessary

to make additional settings in the Service menu. Refer to Fig. 09
the instructions for customer service technicians for this
purpose! After that, enter the code of the particular user level (in
case of questions, please contact Hoval customer service).
The commissioning must always be carried
out on the control module that is allocated to
the controller module (or base module).

3.1 Configuration of the bus system

The commissioning assistant (Fig. 08) appears automat-
ically after the first start-up, or can be started manually
from the main menu (Fig. 07).

Fig. 10

3.1.1 Setting the address of control modules

The addresses of the control modules can only be set
after they have been switched on, and this determines
the allocation to the controller modules available in the
system; it has been defined so that entering the address
on the control module defines directly what its function is.

Fig. 07

Fig. 11

For example: the control module is allocated to the solar

Fig. 08 module with address 16.

The control module can also optionally be allocated to

It is necessary for the “Plant configuration” to be carried out
other modules. Refer to the addressing table (Fig. 06)
as a first step. Only after that is the “Room control module
and the allocation table (Fig. 12) for this.
configuration” started on each room/control module.

After the address of the control module has been set, all
devices are displayed on the bus system.

tem are only detected after they have been

further hydraulic functions.

Please note that a suitable module expansion

is required in many hydraulic applications.

If no suitable hydraulic application is available, a simi-
