Part – B Micro-Project Report
TITLE : GOVERNMENT SCHEME FOR BUSINESS
STARTUP

1.0 Rationale :
• The rationale behind this micro project is to critically assess the
Government Scheme for Business Startup in India, particularly its
impact on micro enterprises. By examining the scheme's objectives,
methodology, and outcomes, we aim to provide insights into its
effectiveness in promoting entrepreneurship and fostering economic
development at the grassroots level. This analysis is crucial for
policymakers, stakeholders, and aspiring entrepreneurs to understand
the strengths and weaknesses of the scheme and identify areas for
improvement.

2.0 Aims /benefit of the Micro-Project :

• Facilitate the establishment and growth of small-scale businesses.
• Foster entrepreneurship and innovation at the grassroots level.
• Generate employment opportunities, especially in rural and semi-
urban areas.
• Empower marginalized communities and individuals by providing
them with resources and support to start their ventures.
• Stimulate economic development by diversifying the business
landscape and promoting local production and consumption.
• Enhance financial inclusion by extending access to capital and
financial services to underserved entrepreneurs.
3.0 Course Outcomes Addressed :
• Understanding the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business
management.

economic development.
• Assessing the impact of micro-enterprises on local economies and
communities.
• Developing skills in project management, financial planning, and market
research.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of support programs in fostering
entrepreneurship and innovation.

4.0 Literature Review :

• Previous studies have highlighted the importance of government support

schemes in promoting entrepreneurship and small business development.
Research suggests that targeted interventions, such as financial assistance,
mentorship programs, and skill development initiatives, can significantly
enhance the success rate of startups, particularly in underserved regions.
However, challenges such as bureaucratic hurdles, limited access to capital,
and lack of market linkages have been identified as barriers to the effective
implementation of such schemes. Case studies from other countries, such as
the United States, United Kingdom, and China, offer valuable lessons on
designing and implementing support programs for micro enterprises.

5.0. Actual procedure followed :

• Eligibility Check: Entrepreneurs must meet the eligibility criteria specified by
the scheme, which may include factors such as age, education, and business
location.
• Application Submission: Applicants are required to submit a detailed
business plan along with the necessary documents to the designated
authorities.
• Evaluation and Approval: The submitted applications are reviewed by a
screening committee or government officials to assess their viability and
alignment with the scheme's objectives.
• Disbursement of Benefits: Once approved, entrepreneurs receive financial
assistance, training, and other support services as per the scheme's guidelines.
