B.Ed. ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
(SESSION 2023-2025)

Online application on prescribed format are invited from eligible in-service candidates
for admission in B.Ed. Programme through Distance mode for the Academic Session
2023-25. Application forms will be available on website www.distanceeducationju.in
from 13-10-2023 along with detailed information about the admission process.

Eligibility: - Those Candidate fulfilling the following conditions shall be eligible to seek
admission in the B.Ed. programme at Directorate of Distance &Online Education,
University of Jammu.

1 Candidates with at least 50% marks (45%for SC/ST candidates) either in the
Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) and / or Master’s Degree in Science/ Social
Science/ Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialized in
Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent
thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme:

2 Those who are serving as full time teachers in the recognized schools
(primary/secondary/Higher secondary levels), within the territorial jurisdiction
of the University of Jammu.

3 Those who have a minimum of two years teaching experience in a recognized

Schools (Primary/Secondary/Higher secondary levels) either at a stretch or in
parts at the time of submission of application form for admission.

4 First preference will be given to the candidates who have completed Diploma in
Education/ Diploma in Elementary Education/ who are trained in service
teachers in elementary Education.

Applicants are advised to fill in the form ONLINE with correct particulars and take out
the print of the filled in form for the personal record for further use.

Online forms available from: 13-10-2023 to 25-10-2023

Application forms submitted online only will be considered for admission.

Application fee/ processing charges Rs 500/-

Admission Process: - Admission shall be made through counseling on the basis of

merit. The counseling schedule shall be notified separately on the DD&OE Website. No
separate intimation for counseling shall be sent individually to the candidates. The
candidates have to present personally at the time of counseling.
Important Notes:-

1. Important instructions for filling in the admission form online will be available
on Website www.distanceeducationju.in.
2. Candidates who do not present themselves at the time of counseling shall not be
entertained later.
3. The University / Directorate has not authorized any person / agency to conduct
admission on its behalf.
4. Mere submission of online application and Invitation to counseling does not
guarantee admission.
5. Reservation policy in this regard shall be applicable as per the rules /norms
applicable in Jammu and Kashmir Union territory / University of Jammu.

The students are advised to upload the following documents:

1. Bachelor’s Degree /Master’s equivalent.

2. Two years Teaching Experience Certificate.
3 Category Certificate (Whichever applicable).
4. Diploma in Education / D.El.Ed. / NTT)
