Now Lift Up Your Eyes
God spoke to Abraham and said, “...Lift up
now thine eyes, and look from the place
where thou art northward, and southward,
and eastward, and westward: For all the
land which thou seest, to thee will I give it,
and to thy seed for ever. And I will make
thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that
if a man can number the dust of the earth,
then shall thy seed also be numbered.”

Abraham was facing a new season in his life. Lot had just
departed and Abraham was alone. God immediately had
Abraham recast his eyes and look with fresh vision at what
is coming next. He told him, “Lift up now thine eyes, and look
from the place where thou art...” God focused Abraham’s
attention away from Lot and to the future instead.

Likewise at the start of this new year, you too must now lift
up your eyes, and look from the place where you are. Your
journey for this new year is great. Recast your eyes and look
at what God is giving you this year to possess.

Do not waste any time but kickoff your voyage into your new
year, by lifting up your perspective to the territories you must
this year conquer. You are a journeyman and your bias is to
successfully complete each phase of your journey in this life.
The year 2024 is yet another glorious phase of that journey.

Happy 2024! Now lift up your eyes, and look from the place
where you are: you will accomplish great things this year.

Scripture reading: GENESIS 13:14-16

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where
thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it,
and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth,
then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Arise, Walk
Yesterday we looked at God’s instruction to
Abraham, ““...Lift up now thine eyes, and look
from the place where thou art northward, and
southward, and eastward, and westward: For
all the land which thou seest, to thee will I
give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will
make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so
that if a man can number the dust of the
earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.”
God told him, “Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place
where thou art...” God focused Abraham’s attention away from Lot
and to the future instead.

The scripture goes on to record, the Lord’s next instruction to

Abraham, “Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in
the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.”

God wanted Abraham to “arise, walk.” After activating his eyes and
mind to the future, God wanted Abraham to act, by surveying and
getting a feel for the enormity and extent of the vision. The man
now had to move from passivity to activity: exposing his senses to
what the future holds.

After having recast your eyes and outlook towards what God is
giving, you likewise must imitate Abraham’s faith: And this by
exposing yourself to the scope and potentials of your future.

Are you called to start an organization? Go visit similar organizations.

Or go visit and interact with the targeted demographics. Actively
research funding models and what you can actually do next, to
begin the work.

It is time to move from passivity to activity. Therefore Arise, walk.

Scripture reading: GENESIS 13:14-17

Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of
the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through
the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Thou Sayest
The scripture relates the following account
about our Lord Jesus, “And Jesus stood
before the governor: and the governor asked
him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews?
And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And
when he was accused of the chief priests
and elders, he answered nothing. Then
said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how
many things they witness against thee? And
he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor
marvelled greatly.”

Have you ever been in a situation where you were surrounded by

accusers? Jesus was.

Jesus found Himself in a room where people were fighting for an

opportunity to accuse Jesus. They were before the governor and
jostling to say something, shouting at Pilate, “Me too! Me too!”

It was an environment much like today. Men and women celebrate

accusers. It is a sign that someone is present here with us on
earth.

Heaven has already cast out it’s accuser. The scriptures tells us
that he landed here on earth, unemployed and looking for a job.
From the prevailing reports, it looks like he has found work.

Jesus, faced by his accusers and the accusations, answered,

“Thou sayest.” He answered them again not a word. They
marveled. Is it not amazing how accusers think that their
accusations deserves a response?

Remember this year, the best response is to imitate Jesus.

Scripture reading: matthew 27:11-14

And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto
him, Thou sayest. And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Pilate unto him,
Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the
governor marvelled greatly.

The Concept Of Spiritual Bandwidth
The Apostle Paul made the following
profound statement to the church at
Corinth. It is a concept which is very
much as relevant today, as it was in Paul’s
day. And it is most important in ensuring
that we are in the best spiritual state, to
always receive God’s best. These were
his words, “O ye Corinthians, our mouth
is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own
bowels.”

The Apostle Paul mentioned that a Christian’s heart can be

narrowed or enlarged. This directly affects the strength and
breadth of spiritual flow.

You may call it spiritual bandwidth. A Christian can receive

from the Spirit via broadband or narrow band. Off course
broadband is exponentially better: more can be transmitted,
faster.

According to Paul, both the transmitter and the receiver

should be on a similar bandwidth, to avoid spiritual throttling.

In the case of the Corinthian congregation, they were

seriously narrowed in their heart. Although Paul was using
broadband to transmit, the Christians were limited by their
lack of bandwidth.

Are you on a broadband connection with unlimited data or

being throttled on your cheap narrow band connection? It
will determine how and how much from God you receive.

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 6:11-12

O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in
your own bowels.

The Speaking Spirit
God is a speaking Spirit. It is written, “In
the beginning God created the heaven
and the earth. And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the
Spirit of God moved upon the face of
the waters. And God said...”

He speaks and so do you. You were recreated in His

expression. You are a speaking spirit too. The Holy Spirit
was given to you, to teach you words. As it is written,
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.” And again, “Which things also we speak, not
in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which
the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with
spiritual.”

That is your dominion in this life. Those words are the

instruments of your overcoming. As long as you keep
speaking, God will keep teaching and you will keep
winning. We hope you get that! You are a speaking spirit
and you reign in this world through your mouth.

The proof of your infilling is your speaking. As it is written,

“...be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves...”

Begin to speak to yourself now...

Scripture reading: Ephesians 5:18-20

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the
Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

Set Your Affection
Affection is powerful and is that thing which
pushes you towards something. It is a driving
force. It affects the state and movement of
man.

If you set your affection on the wrong thing,

you will contemplate and desire that wrong
thing.

Many people have their affection set on earthly things: the things
of the flesh. They developed that affection growing up or whilst
among a certain people. It became set and now it is part of their
core values and ingrained into their being.

What is your affections set on? We are told by scripture to not set
our affection on the things of the earth, else our life is destructible.
The Holy Spirit tells us to set our affection on the things that are
above. Those heavenly things which deals with our co-seating
with Christ, in the heavenly places. The reason being that Christ
will then become visible through us and we with Him.

You have to set your affection on the heavenly dimension. In fact,

we are told by scripture to crave for the heavenly perspective and
manifestation. We are to aim at, strive after, enquire into and to
seek in order to find out by thinking, meditating and reasoning.
Do you get that? What a worthy life-long quest! It is the pearl of
great price for the Christian.

Today, begin to depart your affection from earthly things and

unto the heavenly. Let your emotions be moved by the heavenly
and your values be determined from there. God bless you with
that fulfillment!

Scripture reading: Colossians 3:1-2

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Taking Flight
In the natural, there are different modes
of transport, some more convenient
than others.

The mode of transport chosen, is

determined by several factors, which
includes distance to be traveled and
terrain to be covered.

The year 2024, is special terrain and demands the highest

mode of transport, especially given the rough terrain to
cover and the times you still need to recover.

The year demands that you travel by flight. Flying is the

most viable mode of spiritual travel, if you are to execute
all that God mandated you.

The prophet Isaiah counseled that waiting on the Lord is

the spiritual airport, from where God’s children are taken
into the high altitudes of flight. These were his words, “But
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Today, make a renewed determination to spend excess

time waiting on the Lord. We can see you mount up with
the wings of a spiritual eagle.

You are still soaring like an eagle this year!.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and
they shall walk, and not faint.

The True Testimony
To provide testimony is to bring forth
evidence of what was personally
witnessed, observed or experienced.

The bible tells us that there are those

who bear false witness. Then there
are those whose witness is true.

None is so true as the testimony of God’s Spirit. He is

the Spirit of Truth.

He, the Holy Spirit, throughout scripture provides true

evidence. Especially so within the Christian. How? He
uses the conscience: Paul said, “I say the truth in Christ,
I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the
Holy Ghost.”

The conscience is used to provide testimony.

The scripture says that faith is held securely within

the container of a pure conscience. And that a good
conscience forgone, causes shipwrecked faith and lost
salvation.

Treasure the testimony of your conscience. It is the true

testimony.

The apostles valued it. So should you.

Scripture reading: 2 corinthians 1:12
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom,
but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

Spiritual Accountants
Accounting is vital spiritual skill. And you
hated accounting at school? Spiritual
accounting is indeed a vital skill of the
spiritually wise. Let us explain.

1. Paul informed the church at Phillipi that

their spiritual debit and credit account
is indeed open. And that they should
ensure that the investment side of
their spiritual account gets the right accounting entries,
to reflect abundant growth. “Now ye Philippians know
also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed
from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as
concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in
Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may
abound to your account.” Philippians 4:15-17
2. Paul told the church to account correctly of the apostolic
and prophetic company: To see their accounts as asset
accounts and as investment accounts, and not expenditure
or liability accounts. They were in fact investment accounts
holding God’s spiritual mysteries or the heavenly riches.
“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ,
and stewards of the mysteries of God.” 1 Corinthians 4:1
3. Paul told the church that every Christian is a spiritual
accountant who will at the end of their life here on earth,
present their books to the shareholder of the company,
Jesus. And receive their reward accordingly.

Today, in light of the above, endeavor to be a good spiritual

accountant in 2024. Now you know accounting was not as
boring and irrelevant as it seemed.

Scripture reading: Romans 14:12

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

He Expects You To Understand
Mark records these words from Jesus,
“When I brake the five loaves among
five thousand, how many baskets full of
fragments took ye up? They say unto
him, Twelve. And when the seven among
four thousand, how many baskets full of
fragments took ye up? And they said,
Seven. And he said unto them, How is it
that ye do not understand?”

Jesus expects you to know and understand the things of the

Spirit. We have received the mind of Christ that there might
be spiritual discernment and instruction. Every intervention
by God should serve as a spiritual eye opener.

The disciples were receiving many such opportunities, yet

were not allowing themselves to see into God’s kingdom.

Many want to see into the Spirit but when the opportunity
comes they miss it. The manifestations of the Spirit are the
windows of heaven being opened.

When we pay attention, with soft hearts, to what God is doing

around us, we will see into the spiritual realm and manifestly
experience God where He is, in the invisible.

Heaven becomes real to us when we pay attention to and

value its manifestation here on earth. Whatever He is doing
around you, He expects you to understand. Open your heart.

Scripture reading: Mark 8:19-21

When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him,
Twelve. And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

“Sudden” Moments
The bible mentions many sudden moments
of impact, that changed the lives of the
individuals affected:

Jesus asked Peter if He could use his

boat to preach from. In that moment, Peter
could have denied the rabbi’s request. He
did not and his life was forever changed.

Elisha captured the moment that Elijah was taken to heaven in

the whirlwind. Elisha received the double portion as a result.

Upon hearing the Master’s call, blind Bartimaeus threw aside

his beggars garment. He would be blind and begging no more.

On the day of Pentecost there was a sudden sound of a mighty

rushing wind and mankind received the infilling of the Holy
Spirit, birthing the Church.

Are you anticipating and discerning those “sudden” moments

of impact in your life? Jacob said, “God was in this place and I
did not know it.” He almost missed his moment of impact with
God.

Never miss your “sudden” moments. Pray and develop a

sensitive spirit. Know when God is “near” you and be ready to
capture your moment.

This year will bring greater challenges
to the world than last year. This is
another temptation unto anxiety.

Refuse to be troubled in this year. Keep your heart steady.

Troubles will increase for the people that love this world’s

As Christians, you will not be moved. You trust in God.

You lean on God. You stand firm in His reality for you.

Our Lord Jesus said, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome

Little children, let not your heart be moved by coming

That peace is in His Spirit, The Holy Ghost.

Great Grace
In 2024, you need great grace. The
scripture states the manner in which we all
received personal salvation, “For by grace
are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God...”

Grace not only saved us, but also sustains

us and enable us to stand. As it is written,
“By whom also we have access by faith
into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the
glory of God.”

Grace makes us what we are and furthermore empowers us,

in our movement in life and the work of God. Paul stated, “But
by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which
was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more
abundantly than they all — yet not I, but the grace of God
which was with me.”

In 2024, you will be a mighty witness for Jesus and it is God,

by His grace, that will enable your witness. The book of Acts
records the following wonderful happening, “And with great
power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the
Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”

The great power was brought by the great grace upon them
all. That is you in 2024. You need great grace to walk in great
power. Power is required to provide evidence of the Lord’s
Living Presence.

Our prayer is that God, will this year, pour out upon you His
great grace.

The Knowledge
God states within scripture that,
“My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge.”

What a statement! Knowledge is that

important. A knowledge deficiency
resulted in the destruction of God’s
people. Our wellbeing in God is subject to knowledge.

We should also notice that God’s people lacked the

knowledge because they rejected the knowledge, when it
came. They were shooting down the messengers, sent to
them by God. They were also ignoring the lessons being
taught. As a result they were lacking the spiritual raw
material, required to provoke deliverance, preservation
and promotion.

This year, set your heart to increase in the knowledge

of the holy. As it is written, “the knowledge of the holy is
understanding.” It is a certain type of elevated knowledge:
the highest kind.

In the weeks and months to come, God will bring you

opportunity to receive ‘the knowledge of the holy.’ Be
sure not to reject or neglect it, whether intentionally or
unintentionally.

Posture your heart correctly.

Scripture reading: Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou
shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Called Out
The holy bible records, “Now the LORD
had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy
country, and from thy kindred, and from thy
father’s house, unto a land that I will shew
thee:”

Abram was already advanced in years

when God called him. He had been familiar
with his country, relatives and father’s
house for longer than most people live these days. He was also
living a comfortable, affluent life. The man was rooted within his
comfort zone. He had no need to get out of the familiar but God.

God would identify a man like that to call. We are reminded of

Jesus and the rich young ruler. The Lord offered Abram a great
and supernatural life, which was exceedingly abundantly above
all he could have imagined. Yet, God demanded that he moves
out of his comfort zone to begin with.

Many people want God to use them inside of their comfort and
familiar zones. This is not possible. God’s plan and purpose for
your life is too big for your comfort zone. You have to choose:
God or the familiar.

If Abraham chose his familiar, he would not be the father of

many nations, as he is today. If Joseph tried to get back to his
family and country, he would not have become the regent of
the known world at the time. If David adhered to the narratives
of his family, he would never have become king of Israel. And
what about Jesus?

And now, how about you? It’s 2024.

Scripture reading: Genesis 12:1-2

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto

Investment
Every new year demands an investment.
What you invest in any venture will largely
determine its yields.

Similarly with this new year. It is a new

venture. You have not been this way
before.

What kind of dividend payout and capital gain are you

expecting out this year? Huge or small? It will determined by
how and what you invest and who you invest in.

Start this year by investing in yourself, personally. The best

self-investment is wisdom. The scripture says, “I wisdom dwell
with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions...
Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and
righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold;
and my revenue than choice silver.”

God’s word is true. You can take it to the bank: Wisdom will be
the highest yielding investment in 2024.

Make this investment, the core of your investment portfolio

in 2024. It is time to “buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also
wisdom and instruction and understanding.”

If your investment advisor does not advise you this year, to

invest in the truth, wisdom, instruction and understanding,
they are suspect.

Already Attained
We said this in previous years, at this
time, “You must learn to distinguish
between foundational revelation and
outdated thinking.”

The new year is the opportunity to

learn new things and grow at an even
greater rate.

Your appetite to grow and learn will determine how far

you go this year. As we mentioned a few days ago,
letting go of the familiar is vital for effective journeying
with God, into the new.

That said, we have to hold true to the exhortation of the

apostle Paul, in which he said, “Hold true to what we
have already attain to and to walk and order our lives
by that.”

Foundational revelation and victories should be built

upon. For example, before we prayed with the spirit,
we prayed in our native language. Once we started to
pray in other tongues, we did not stop praying in our
native tongue. We simply practiced the method of the
apostle, “I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the
understanding also...”

This year, learn anew to hold true, whilst you are growing
and learning rapidly.

The Father’s Call
The Father has done so much for His
sons and daughters. Such a vast table
has been prepared. Our Lord said,
“I go to prepare a place for you.”

Why has not many of God’s children

chosen to dwell in the Father’s house?
Why are they dwelling within the
spiritual dark zones, like homeless children? The answer
is simple. They choose to do so.

Most are unwilling to pay the price. For many the

danger of life under the spell of the dark world is alluring
Nevertheless, the Father still calls out to His sons and
daughters: “Come out from among them, and be ye
separate, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will
receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall
be my sons and daughters.”

Will you heed the call and break your yoke, deny and
forgo of your fellowships, concords, partnerships and
agreements with Belial?

Your Father’s dwelling places are beckoning you, “Surely

goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your
life.”

perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Never Run Away
We have been Christians for a long
time. Over these years, we have
witnessed many things amongst
Christians.

Some who started the race with us,

have fallen back. Others have come
and gone. Yet more have been
deviated from their destiny in God.

Offence have caused many to stumble. For others it

was the lust of the flesh.

Our counsel to every new Christian is to never run from

God. Run to the Father. You can never err beyond His
forgiveness, nor beyond His ability to restore.

The Lord Jesus told a story of a prodigal son. That young

man had claimed his inheritance too early, forsaking
his father for exploration of the world. He subsequently
lost everything, due to foolish living. With his humanity
nearly gone, he was despairing for life itself. The young
man then made a decision that would see him restored.
That decision was expressed by a simple statement, but
one worthy of all acceptance, “I will arise and go to my
father.”

Mark the wisdom of that young man: when in trouble,

arise and go to your Heavenly Father.

Scripture reading: luke 15:17-22

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish
with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before

The Setting
Jesus, during His days on earth,
demonstrated mastery in the walk of faith.
He ran His race with perfection.

How did He do it? The Bible tells us how.

He “set” His joy before him. He kept His
joy before Him and not the problems, the
detractors nor the distractions.

What was His joy? The Father and the glory He had with Him
before the world began.

See the Lord Jesus’ first prayer request in John 17, “Father,
the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify
thee... And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

What is your joy? Joy is a potent source of energy. It is easy

to set your eyes and heart on what brings you joy.

The key to focus is in the setting. The key to setting is in the

joy. The joy comes from the heart. In what the heart treasures
above all things.

Find your joy and you find, what you are actually living for.

Ensure your heart is wrapped in the eternal, and the eternal

will be your joy. The eternal can never be taken away from
you. The setting will be easier and enduring.

Scripture reading: Hebrews 12:2

despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God..

Don’t Donate To Dogs
It is written, “Give not that which is holy
unto the dogs, neither cast ye your
pearls before swine, lest they trample
them under their feet, and turn again
and rend you.”

Our Lord and God commanded us to

not give what is Holy unto the dogs.

The dogs are those people who defile themselves. Those

who make little of the anointing and the word of God.
Those people in whose eyes the Holy Spirit and His holy
men and women, are despised.

These dogs are everywhere. It is important that the holy

things which the Spirit gives you, are not submitted to
the dogs. Do not speak of holy things in the presence
of carnal people. Carnal people mind the things of men
and gain their wisdom from natural sources. They are
absorbed in the goings and comings of their world. They
will despise your words and grieve the Holy Spirit, who
gave you those words.

Spiritual things are for spiritual people. Holy things for

holy people. They are spiritually discerned.

Don’t associate with dogs. Don’t donate to dogs.

Scripture reading: Matthew 7:6

The World Of Knowings
In this world, men live by analysis and
senses. Reasoning is the order of the
day.

However, in the Spirit there’s only

knowings, not wonderings and no
“figuring” it out: only knowings.

Jesus, talking to the Father, in front of Lazarus tomb

said, “I know that thou hearest me always.” He was not
believing it or wondering if the Father is hearing. No, He
knew it.

Another verse says that Jesus knew that virtue has gone
out of Him. And again, “Jesus knowing their thoughts.”

Jesus operated in knowings. So should you. It is written,

“And we know that we have passed from death unto life.”

The knowings of the Spirit is your portion. Learn to

recognize the knowings and walk in it.

In 2024, men will wonder about this and that. And great
confusion shall prevail but not for the child of God, who
is walking by the tendencies of the Spirit. You will be
walking in great stability, if you choose to be assured by
His knowings.

Scripture reading: John 11:42

And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou
hast sent me.

It’s A Matter of Esteem
The book of Samuel shares with us one of
the starkest utterances in the word of God,
“And there came a man of God unto Eli, and
said unto him...Wherefore the Lord God of
Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house,
and the house of thy father, should walk
before me for ever: but now the Lord saith,
Be it far from me; for them that honour me I
will honour, and they that despise me shall
be lightly esteemed.”

God was speaking to His servant Eli and lamenting over the
Eli dynasty’s dismal attitude, towards Him and His work. The
Holy Spirit was communicating that their ending would be
severe. God had promised him a family dynasty but now was
withdrawing that promise. The Lord’s judgment of Eli’s house
was in response and in proportion to Eli’s house’s judgment
of God. They had lightly esteemed the Lord and therefore was
lightly esteemed by Him. If they had honored the Lord, He would
have honored them. It was that simple and is still that simple.

Are you desiring God’s honor? Then honor God, His work and
those whom He sends to you. For God it is a matter of esteem.
The bible tells us that Daniel was highly esteemed by heaven.
Why? Daniel highly esteemed God and His ways.

What do you highly esteem? It matters whom and what you

esteem. To God it is a matter of esteem.

A man of God once said, “The only thing worse than not
esteeming God, is lightly esteeming Him.”

It is a matter of esteem: Not self-esteem. God-esteem.

Scripture reading: John 12:26

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my
Father honour.

To The Wall
It is written, “In those days was Hezekiah
sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet
...said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set
thine house in order: for thou shalt die,
and not live. Then Hezekiah turned his
face toward the wall, and prayed unto
the Lord,”

The bible gives this account of King Hezekiah being sick

unto death. In other words, he was dying.

The great prophet Isaiah then comes to him with a special

message, “Thus saith the Lord, get thine house in order: for
thou shalt die, and not live.”

The man had all the symptoms of impending death in his

body, plus a prophecy from a true prophet of God, confirming
death. Imagine if that was you. What would you do? Most
would say their goodbyes but not Hezekiah. He turned his
face towards the wall and prayed.

One can imagine all the pitiful faces around his bed, his wife
and children already mourning. Hezekiah had to focus on
God. The best face to look at was the wall: and he prayed
and wept before God. God was moved and spectacularly
saved his life.

Remember when faced with despair, don’t turn to the

mourners. Turn your face to the wall and pray.

The Lightly Esteemed
The Lord Jesus once educated
religious leaders in Israel. These men
valued being highly esteemed before
people. They thought their value was
high because people thought so of
them.

They managed their public image

carefully and got the people to see them as great.

However, Jesus informed these leaders that God knows

their hearts and that which is highly esteemed among
men, is an abomination in the sight of God.

These were His words, “...Ye are they which justify

yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts:
for that which is highly esteemed among men is
abomination in the sight of God.”

God measures men by their hearts and esteems

accordingly. Live to be esteemed by God, in the light of
His word.

If you know what is being measured, you can manage it.

Manage your heart. Walk with God.

Jesus told Nicodemus, “If I told
you of earthly things and you do
not understand. What if I tell you of
heavenly things?”

He was forced to speak to the man in

basic terms. He explained that being
born from above gives us sight into the
kingdom of God.

However, this is just the introductory reason for being

born of the Spirit. Upon further revelation, we are told
that God begat us of His own will, with the word of truth,
so that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.

You were begotten by the Word to be evidence of a new

God-creature, to be sampled and tasted by all.

They must see and know that you are a God-creature.

A different kind. A one of a kind. Not like them but like
God. Then they must violently want to be like you, a God-
creature.

So don’t be shy. Be bold. Manifest your inner alien, to this

It is Impossible
It is written, “Then said he [Jesus] unto
the disciples, It is impossible but that
offences will come: but woe unto him,
through whom they come!”

If you open your heart or commit with

your heart amongst people, there is a
strong possibility that you will be hurt.
Dwelling amongst people can be dangerous to your feelings.
Something or someone is bound to offend you.

In fact, Jesus said that “It is impossible but that offences will
come.” The coming of offences is impossible. Offences will
come for sure, even if you live with no one but your pet dog.
She will offend you at some point in time.

King Saul took offence at what some women said about

David, his son-in-law, in their silly comparison of David with
him. The offence turned into hatred of a man that did him no
harm. He spent most of the ensuing years, unsuccessfully
trying to kill David. He should not have taken the offence.

How you deal with offence makes all the difference. When
offence comes, refuse to take it. Say with your mouth, “I
refuse to be offended!”

Never take offence. It will block you from answered prayers.

Again, the coming of offences is unavoidable, the taking of

offence is not.

You Will Have Your Own
In life, we start with no responsibilities. A
baby is born and is fed, cleaned, dressed,
sheltered, trained for this life by the parents.

However, life is designed in such a way

that the infant grows into maturity and
responsibility. You may be living with your
parents, in their home but that will change.
You may be observing, serving or enjoying
what is another’s but you will have your own. And how you treat
another’s, will determine how you will fair with your own. What a
man sows that he will reap, the scripture says.

You are meant to have your own and enjoy it. However, the
process demands that you be faithful and you will have your
own. Even a child, if he or she is an heir, is still under a tutor until
they mature enough, to take full charge of their own inheritance.

Your future will be determined by your effective stewardship

of the present. You see someone with challenges? Be careful
how you judge, you will have your own. You see someone with
responsibilities? Be careful how you judge, you will have your
own. You see someone with a family? Be careful how you judge,
you will have your own. You serving in another person’s vision?
Be faithful in your serving, you will have your own.

Life is an academy. You are always training for your own and for
a higher level. Tests and examinations abound. Pass them all.

The Judge in the spiritual realm says, “For with the same measure
that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.’

You will have your own.

Scripture reading: Luke 6:37-38
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give,
and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your
bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The Spirit of Fear
Fear has paralyzed many a man.

The graveyard holds the remains of

many, who have perished because of
fear. Many are afraid to live because of
fear. It is in their words, in their thoughts,
in their mindsets.

Never be hindered by fear, for then it will destroy you. God

has not given His people the spirit of fear, so they need not
fear.

The bible, in the AMPC version says, “For God did not give
us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing
and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and
of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline
and self-control.”

Fear prohibits men from stepping into their calling. Fear

prevents men from stirring up the gift of God in them.

Fear is the greatest enemy of men. By it they are held in

bondage to satan and the elements of this world. But God’s
people need not fear this, for He has overcome the evil one
and his tactic of fear.

No longer should man be held in bondage. Now they are

free: that is free from sin and the fear thereof. So fear not.

Scripture reading: 2 Timothy 1:6-7

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For
God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith

In the above quoted passage from the

it all joy when you fall into various trials” and that it is the way
which God uses to perfect us.

The apostle Peter mentioned to the church, to greatly rejoice

during the “various trials” as their faith is being “tried by fire.”
God grades and promotes by divers tests and trials.

When you announce (or it is announced) that you have been

promoted, it is a call to the devil that you are ready to be
attacked on a whole new level. We heard a great man of God
say “When you hear someone claim that they are in a certain
ministry office or at a certain level or can also do this or that.
Don’t be concerned. Leave them. That claim must be tested.”

The spirit realm always test claims. There is no payout without

Not All Dead-Ends, Are Dead-Ends
A dead-end is defined as an end to a
passage from which no exit is possible.

You may face several dead-ends in

your life. You may be prompted by
the situation to go back. Moses faced
such a position before the Red Sea.
However, he could not even turn back,
even if He wanted to. The Egyptian army was already on
their heels.

At that moment Moses cried out to God for the way

out. Moses knew God would make a way. Therefore he
already told them, that they must stand still and see the
intervention of the Lord.

God told Moses, “This ain’t a dead-end. Tell Israel to go

forward. I have already planned and enabled their way
forward.”

God fought for them that day. God fights with God-kind
of weapons. These are more sophisticated, superior and
powerful than that of any human army. What seemed as
a dead-end for Israel was actually a dead-end for their
enemies.

Your dead-end is not what it seems. Move forward.

The Teacher
Securing a teacher is one of the
greatest investments you can ever
make in this life.

The teacher is one of the most potent

forces on earth. Teachers and their
teachings shape and transform
generations. None more than teachers
of philosophy and the Word. Such is its potency, that
Jesus warned His disciples against the teaching of Herod,
the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

The bible warns against the desire to be a teacher of the

word of God because their judgment will be stricter and
greater. The role is that serious.

Paul told Timothy that elders are worthy of double honor,

especially those who labor in the word and its teaching.
“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double
honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine
the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that
treadeth out the corn. And, The laborer is worthy of his
reward.”

How are you doing in the honoring department? Will the

gift (your teacher) multiply in your life, during 2024 or will
you be found not worthy of it?

Seek your teacher. Find your teacher. Keep your teacher.

Scripture reading: Galatians 6:6-8

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not

The Power of the Scripture

Many are ignorant of the scripture’s

power. The bible tells us that Apollos
was powerful in scriptures. The
scripture is powerful.

Paul reminds his spiritual son of its power, just before

Paul was to go to heaven. Concerning the scripture he

1. The Holy scriptures are able to make him wise unto

salvation (healing, deliverance and supernatural

2. All scripture is God-breathed.
3. All scripture is profitable for teaching, reproof,

5. The scripture supplies the man of God with the

Understanding The Scriptures
You need to understand the scriptures.
Your spiritual superiority depends on
it. In fact, your life depends on it.

Jesus quoted scriptures to refute the

devil in the wilderness. He told the
devil “it is written” the devil responded
“it is written.” Jesus replied “it is also
written” and from there came the out-breathing which
is recorded “it is said.” There ladies and gentlemen is
the temptation, summarized. It was a whole lot of “it is
written”.

Do you know what is written? How then will you not err?
How will you overcome the tempter? You must get to
know the “it is written”. Then you must understand what
is written.

How do you get understanding of scripture? The bible

shows the primary way for the believer in Acts 8:30-
31 “And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read
the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what
thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some
man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he
would come up and sit with him.”

It is shown in Acts 8 that understanding comes through

somebody, guiding the reader through the scriptures.

You need a teacher. Jesus did.

Scripture reading: Luke 2:46-49

And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing
them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when
they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father
and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my

A King’s Folly
King Hezekiah was a man who knew
how to entreat God. He once so
persisted in the prayer of petition, that
he provoked God to send an angel to
deal with 185 000 of his enemies. The
angel of the Lord killed them all! The
body count was enormous.

Not only could Hezekiah persuade God to kill, he could

also persuade God to heal. The man prayed a single
potent prayer and 15 years was added to his life. This
king knew how to pray!

Unfortunately, he did not know how to protect, and keep

secret his treasure. He cast his pearls before swine.
The bible tells us that he, in his overconfidence and joy,
showed some people whom he considered friendly, all
his treasure. They liked what they saw and later came to
take it by force.

Never show all your treasure. Beware what you share.

Some secrets are worth keeping. Do not sell short your
future and that of future generations.

Guard the access to your treasures. Hezekiah like

Samson did not treasure what God gave them.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 39:2

And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious
ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that
Hezekiah shewed them not. Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they
unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. Then said he, What have they seen in thine house?

Wisdom Must Be Practiced
King Hezekiah was a righteous king. We
saw yesterday that he was a praying king.

The Lord delivered Hezekiah’s reign from

major threats. The man could pray the
angel of the Lord into action. He got God
to turn back time! What a man!

He loved God and clearly, God loved him.

However, the last fifteen (added) years of his life would

define his legacy. He opened a spiritual door that would lead
to the destruction of his children, people and country. Due to
the intelligence he unintentionally provided, Babylon would
invade and conquer Israel.

The book of Proverbs tells us that Hezekiah copied out as

a special collection certain proverbs of Solomon. So that he
can spread it in Israel. Amongst these were “As cold waters
to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country”. and “He
that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken
down and without walls.”

Solomon counseled that rule over one’s own spirit maintains

protection. Hezekiah lacked this kind of rule. Jerusalem
ended up a broken city without walls.

Unfortunately, Hezekiah ended up not effectively applying

that wisdom.

Don’t Assume. Ask for Wisdom
Why did Hezekiah miss interpret the
proverbs of Solomon? Why armed with
such knowledge and spiritual weapons,
did the man fail to use it effectively?

He lacked the discernment needed to

benefit from the proverbs of Solomon.
He thought the Babylon emissaries was
coming to refresh his soul with the well wishes. They would
later return to bring hell.

Unfortunately, Hezekiah lacked the insight that Solomon

prayed for and received. This prohibited him from
accurately applying the wisdom.

Hezekiah upon reading the Proverbs of Solomon, should

have prayed for the wisdom of Solomon. May that be a
lesson for all of us.

Wisdom without inspiration lacks activation. It remains

paralyzed knowledge. You need the breathing of God to
make wisdom come alive in you.

Dear brother and sister, do not just read the Book. Pray
to the God of the Book, to infuse you with the Spirit of the
Book. Only then will you walk the Book, as it walks in you!

In What Looks Common
Beauty is hidden below the surface. Those
who only look at the outward and the
obvious, will never discover true beauty.

Treasure must be discovered. For it to be

discovered, it has to be searched out.

Beauty is often hidden in the common.

Think of the potter who discovers beauty in
the commonness of the clay. Michelangelo chiseled beauty out
of a stone. It is by the plain rod of Moses that God shook Egypt
and slew armies. Jesus brought forth mighty wonder working
apostles, out of ordinary businessmen. He also formed eye
balls from clay and spit.

When you look in the mirror today, don’t underestimate that

person looking back at you. You don’t need a pointy nose,
sleek hair, chiseled jaw, bulging muscles or an IQ like Einstein.
As long as there is some clay and spit in you, He can form
something beautiful out of it.

Don’t despise small beginnings and don’t despise what looks

common.

The prophet Samuel learned that God is not impressed by

looks. Man in his vanity over esteems the outward. God looks
at the heart, for in the heart He buried His treasure.

Look at God’s choicest servants of today and yesteryear. The

overwhelming majority of them were too common for men to
esteem them. God found their commonness attractive and
unlocked His treasure within them…and with them flooded the
world with His light!

The Garrison
The peace of God is a military guard.
The peace of God can protect your
mind and heart with military precision.

Therefore the salutation of peace, in the

epistles, is a bestowing of protection.
The bible says and there was “war in
heaven and the devil and his angels

Keep the devil out. He loves war.

Peace is one of the three atmospheric layers of God’s

king-dome of protection.

This is how you maintain the military guard of peace:

1. Never get anxious at anything.

2. Pray about everything.
3. Think about the things of God.
4. Do what you have learned, received, heard and seen
in your teacher.
5. Rejoice in the Lord always.

Scripture reading: Philippians 4:6-9

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

which were at Philippi, “Even as it is meet
for me to think this of you all, because I
have you in my heart; inasmuch as both
in my bonds, and in the defense and
confirmation of the gospel, ye all are
partakers of my grace.”

You may need re-plugging. One of the biggest, simplest but

not the easiest lessons, we learnt a few years ago, was to
disconnect and reconnect.

Back then, we sought the Lord concerning certain higher

levels in the Spirit, that seemed inaccessible. The Lord
responded that the issue was with our connection, where we
were plugged in. And He promised that He would unplug and
re-plug us into the clear feed. What followed was a series of
unplugging and re-plugging of relationships, spiritual habits
and focus.

The new connection(s) brought a multiplied grace in our lives

with proven manifestation.

We urge you to prayerfully check your connection(s) as you

prepare for a fresh move, this month. A shift may be all you
need to make this year your greatest, by the grace of God.

Scripture reading: John 1:36-42

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto
them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? He saith
unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. One
of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first findeth his own brother
Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus.

Sober
Paul told his spiritual son, Titus, to
exhort the young men, to be sober
minded.

To be drunk is to be under an external

influence and is the opposite of being
sober. To be sober, is thus to be free
from external influence.

Why should young men be sober? John tells us that the

mark of a young man or young lion in the spirit, is that
he has overcome the evil one, with the strength of the
word of God in him. This is the glory that a young man
wears in the Spirit: a spiritual crown or endowment if
you will.

Moreover, Peter teaches us that to overcome the devil

we need to be sober. To what benefit is strength, if we
are drunk and unable to focus our strength on the devil,
to resist and overcome him?

Thus be sober. You need soberness to beat the devil

up. As it is written, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in
the faith...”

Scripture reading: Titus 2:6

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

Count Me Out
Jesus was never part of the crowd. He was
the one the crowd turned to. Jesus was the
one the crowd sought to touch and were
healed.

During bible days, immunity did not come

from the herd. It came from Jesus: His
flesh and His blood.

Following the crowd is dangerous, no matter the day you live in.
Yet, it is more so during times of great crisis.

God taught Isaiah, His prophet, how to avoid being infected

with the herd. The Lord was preparing Isaiah for an upcoming
crisis. He was giving Isaiah, the way to keep himself and his
disciples safe from the death and destruction, that was coming.

Firstly, God instructed him not to walk in the way of the people.
He explained to Isaiah that you walk in the way of the people by
saying, what they are saying, by labeling things by their labels,
by defining things by their definitions and by fearing what they
fear.

Count yourself out of herd infection and destruction by

sanctifying the Lord of Hosts and let Him be your fear and Him
your dread.

Say what God says. Speak the Word only. Become a super
spreader of the word of God, a super spreader of Truth.
You will soon bring about herd immunity.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 8:12

Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be
afraid.

Expect The Unexpected
A key in moving with God into the
new, is not to expect the same. We
must train ourselves to expect the
unexpected. With summer nearly at
an end, we all know that a new season
is about to dawn. However, few know
what it holds in its fullness. In other
words, few know what each day of the
new season will have in store for us.

Hence, why expect the same ol’ same ol’? Expect

something fresh.

The Lord enjoys foretelling the future to create

expectation for His ‘suddenlies’ and gives us the
opportunity to prepare and “dream” with Him. However,
the precise moment and way of the new thing no one but
God exactly knows. As God explained via His prophet,
“Long ago I told you what would happen [the former
things]. I said these things and [they went out from my
mouth and I] made them known; suddenly I acted, and
these things happened.”(AMP)

God likes to act suddenly and catch everyone by

surprise.

Be ready to be surprised...ready to experience the

“suddenlies” of God. Expect the “unexpected.”

Scripture reading: Isaiah 48:3

I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them
suddenly, and they came to pass.

Attract Angels
Angels are attracted to light.

You must know that angels are gathered

around God. And the Bible says He
dwells in unapproachable light.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world”.

Then He said “Ye are the light.”

Paul said, “Ye are the sons of light.”

So when you allow your light to shine, angels will be

attracted unto you. Angels move towards you, when you
mind Jesus, when you worship Jesus, when you become
Jesus centered and your life becomes about Jesus.

In other words, when your life is about Jesus, loving

Jesus, knowing Jesus and being like Jesus; you will see
angels all around you, should your spiritually eyes be
opened.

Angels will then go and come at your light-filled command.

This is the way of the realm of the Spirit.

Scripture reading: Luke 1:19

And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and
to shew thee these glad tidings.

Spiritual Fervency
Every Christian should be on fire for
God. This is only possible by being on
fire with God.

It is put this way in AMPC edtion,

“Never lag in zeal and in earnest
endeavor; be aglow and burning with
the Spirit, serving the Lord.”

Spiritual fervency is the product of being aglow

and burning with the Spirit. Therefore on the day of
Pentecost, tongues of fire appeared on the disciples.
This Holy Ghost fire propelled them into spreading the
Gospel, loving Jesus and dominating the devil.

Pure Christianity is not possible without this holy fire. It

affects desire, thoughts, words and actions.
God who is a consuming fire, consumes everything that
hinders Him in such a Christian.

The product: A pure heart, which see’s Him.

This weekend, may His fire locate you and set you
ablaze. Open your heart to experience the moving of
God’s Spirit on the inside of you, just like He desires
you to.

A Real Battle For Souls
On a certain Sunday we witnessed a
display of the clash between heaven and
hell during a deliverance of a young man.

None present could be left without any

doubt that demons are real. And most
importantly, that at the name of Jesus
everything bows, no matter how “powerful”
the creature appears.

In the service, our spiritual eyes were opened (during this

clash between angels and demons) and we saw how the
demons identified kindred souls in our midst, within professing
Christians.

Also, a significant revelation was how that the dark world is

launching a strong offensive against an unsuspecting church.
Furthermore, how demons have already marked and are about
to attack certain individuals. This will test the genuineness of
their faith to the core. “Wherefore take unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand.”

This scenario is about to play out for these professing ones and
also for those around them affected because of the “spiritual
marking” principle. O how they need to be strengthened and
defended out of the bowels of prayer!

It is time for believers to pray steadfastly.

Scripture reading: ephesians 6:10-13

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto
you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Again, Know Your Adversaries
You see men and women are not our
problem but rather the devil that operate
through them. These folks that yield
to the devil are, in the new testament,
called “the sons of disobedience.” The
old testament referred to them as “the
sons of belial.”

These are a deadly crew, energised by

powers, principalities, rulers of darkness and wicked spirits.
They have caused the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and
His apostles the most harm in the days of the early church
and still do today. And have proven to be the devil’s choicest
weapon against the church.

The apostle Paul mentioned a few adversaries in his day

such as Hymenaeus, Alexander and Philetus. Diotrephes
was mentioned by the apostle John. I can surely add a few
names of my own.

The Apostle Peter called them false prophets and false

teachers, who privately bring in damnable heresies, spots
and blemishes and cursed children. And also indicated
that “these have forsaken the right way, are gone astray,
following the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages
of unrighteousness.”

This year, like in all prior years, these will again feature in the
devil’s arsenal of prime weaponry. Avoid them at all costs!

2024 is your year for the taking: this year, let no wicked spirit
or person steal your fruit.

Scripture reading: 2 peter 2:9-12

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly
them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid
to speak evil of dignities. Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

Drown Out The Noise
Beware of noise pollution. Noise pollution
is a prime satanic weapon.

The devil’s ancient tactic is to disturb

and drown you in noise, caused by many
voices. Test the spirits. God is still found in
the still small voice, as Elijah discovered.

Wisdom is still known by her children and the tree by its

fruit. The fundamentals are still the fundamentals. The truth
remains the truth. Don’t be disturbed by noise. Drown out the
noises and focus on the still small voice within you. The Holy
Spirit is speaking. You must just be listening.

In the practice of the presence of God, at the beginning of our

walk with God, we have learned that the holy place is a quiet
place. Satan would sometimes stir up literal noise, to draw our
attention to what is happening outside of our prayer closet.
We had to learn to drown out the noise, in order to enter deep
realms of prayer.

Nothing settles our hearts like His voice does. Today, get quiet
and listen for the sound of His voice.

Besides the tangible awareness of His presence, there is

nothing so assuring as the sound of His voice. So drown
out the noise and show that you refuse to be perturbed or
disturbed.

Scripture reading: psalm 2:1-3

Righteousness Exalts
The scripture teaches us a powerful
spiritual truth: “Righteousness exalts
a nation, but sin is a reproach to any

Righteousness does not only exalt a

nation but does the same for a city,
community, organisation or family.

Doing right has the power to preserve, promote and

progress.

Sin brings reproach. It is therefore an imperative

for leaders of a nation, city, community, family or
organisation to promote righteousness and deal with
unrighteousness, as reproach will surely follow if left
unchecked.

Are you promulgating righteousness in your family

Turning Hopeless Situations
As Christians we have to learn how to turn
hopeless situations around.

The Lord sent His servant, the prophet

Isaiah, to tell Hezekiah to set His house in
order for he is about to die. Hezekiah did
not argue with the prophet but turned his
face to the wall and engaged the God of
the prophet. He gave God strong reasons
why he should live and not die.

The Lord was persuaded and before the prophet Isaiah could
leave the courts of the palace, he received instruction from the
Lord to turn back and deliver a new word of fifteen more years.

The prayer of Hezekiah fascinates us. It is so short, yet so

potent. What a mystery!

Spiritual champions are able to change spiritual matters like

this. Bringing forth spiritual utterances and arguments that
provokes the Holy Lord, to act for them.

Today, begin to pray like a spiritual champion with the help of

the Holy Spirit.

Every dire and confusing situation will change as you enter the
Throne Room on your knees. And of that we are certain, for
the eyes of the Lord is on the righteous and His ears open to
their prayers: their effectual fervent prayer will without fail avail
much. Now go ahead and pray!

Though None Go With Me
We live in a society where right and wrong is
judged by how many supports the view.

Popularity seems to equal correctness. Even

Christians determine truth by how many
supports it. They convince themselves:
“Many people believe and do this, so this
must be God.” or “I am comfortable here so
this must be where God wants me.”

However, the Lord Jesus said that, “wide is the gate, and broad is
the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter
in thereby”. This view is radically counter culture.

It is never wise to gauge the will of God by popularity, ease, comfort,

a lack of pressure or lack of resistance. It was the multitude that
cried “Crucify him!” when Jesus was before Pilate. You see God is
not in popularity. God is for the truth.

In fact, the Lord said, “For narrow is the gate, and straitened the
way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.” Don’t be
afraid to stand alone. Fear not to contradict the crowd. As it is
written, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” God and you:
a majority.

Sadhu Sundar Singh, the great general of God, knew and lived this
truth. His life epitomised the narrow gate and straitened way. He
went alone. He suffered many things for the gospel of Jesus Christ
and was used mightily by Jesus.

The old hymn, “I have decided to follow Jesus.” Said to have

been composed by Sundar, from the words belonging to an Indian
martyr from Assam, is worthy of all acceptance.

We encourage you today, to make the words of that hymn your

own.
Scripture reading: matthew 7:13-14

Build Your City
The word of God states that a city is
overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
It is not guns, bullets, drugs, gangsters
or maladministration that tears down
cities. It is the mouths of wicked people.

The Lord Jesus said, that evil things

proceed from the hearts of evil people.
Words spoken into the spiritual atmosphere around the
city, eventually determines the events and outcome of that
city. Death and life is in the power of the tongue.

What is ailing your city? It is as a result of the cumulative or

effect of negative words. When men join voices concerning
their city, they shift the spiritual climate.

The media is often used by the prince of the power of the

air, to spread fear and despair across the airwaves.

However, the scripture also states that words of blessing

by the upright builds and exalts the city.

From today, use your words to build the city that you live

Vitalization
There is a supernatural vitalization
that emanates from the spiritual world.
Few are aware of this secret. And few
experientially know this secret source
of energy.

The bible describes this act of

supernatural vitalization, by using the
Greek word, “zōopoieō”, which means to make alive,
produce life, bear living young, give increase of physical
life, by spiritual power and invigoration.

The key to being forever young is “zōopoieō” or the

quickening. The Spirit can and does give life to the
dying cells of the physical body. The spirit is a superior
life form to the physical.

The fleshly body, although having been made alive,

cannot make you young again. Only the Spirit can make
you young again.

In fact, the scripture says that the Holy Spirit dwells in

the body, to influence it with new strength and vitality.
Your body will be as alive, as the very body of Christ is
because you are!

So today, learn to pray in and with the Spirit to experience

that “zōopoieō”.

The Fruitful Heart
Jesus said that there is a type of heart
that bears fruit, after the God-kind.
This type of heart is rare, as it brings
forth good fruit.

He also said that this type of a heart is

appointed by God, to bear much fruit
and fruit that would remain.

What type of a heart is this? A heart that hears the word

of God and keeps it. Jesus said this type of a heart is
honest and good and produce with patience.

The word “honest” here is the Greek word “kalos” which

means beautiful, excellent, precious, genuine, admirable
and worthy. The word “good” here , is the Greek word,
“agathos” which means of good constitution, agreeable,
joyful, happy, honorable and upright.

This type of a heart is best described by what it is not

and does not do. The honest and good heart does not
lack understanding, is not offended by tribulation and
persecution, does not fall away through temptation,
is not carried away by the cares of this world and the
deceitfulness of success and riches, and never lacks
perseverance.

Do you have a heart of the good kind? A heart after the

Your Perspective
A perspective can be defined as, ‘a
particular attitude toward or way of
regarding something; a point of view.’

Healthy perspectives aid happy living.

When our perspective on something is
muddy, our decision making becomes
deficient. This creates ample opportunity
for unnecessary frustrations and saps
our energies. Clear and accurate perspectives are vital for
energised living.

We must ensure that we keep a God-perspective across the

three time dimensions, in which our lives exist. The Lord
ministered to us, that one should always hold the following
perspectives in life:

1. When you examine the past: Know always that our acts
of faith unto and in the Lord is not in vain. The living
Father is not unjust, blind nor encumbered. Our acts of
faith and faithfulness will yet be rewarded.
2. When you survey the present: Stay in Faith in Christ
Jesus, nothing wavering, nothing doubting. Faith is our
only bridge to the ever flowing, ever increasing grace of
God.
3. When you plan the future, remember: Dependence is
Everything. Depend on His Wisdom. Depend on His
Ways. Depend on His Word. Depend on His Person.

Today, make a decision to always hold the Lord central in

your attitude towards everything. Always set your heart upon
Jesus. He never disappoints.

Apostle John described a wonderful

All the angels, elders and living creatures fall prostrate

It is your life to live. Will you live it? Are you willing to live

The Lord Jesus said that God is a Spirit and they that

The Magnets
Faith and Fear are both spiritual forces:
one positive, the other negative. Faith
liberates. Fear ensnares.

Consider Job who feared that he would

lose his children to their sin. Every time
his sons and daughters would have a
party, he would spend the next day
interceding for their sin.

This fear aided satan to strike his children whilst they

were partying and most likely sinning against God. Job
had no time to intercede. Later, he confessed that his
greatest fear had come on him.

What if Job instead taught his children the fear of the

Lord, since their childhood? Then he could have had the
faith that his children feared God because they had been
taught the fear of the Lord.

The woman with the issue of blood did not fear death, she
focused on Jesus and energized by her faith, pressed
with all her might to release the power of God, contained
in His garment.

Both faith and fear are magnetic and attract the object of
their focus.

This is a day that appears on the

God’s word says, “I will give you the riches of secret

places.” How do you access the secret places?

There are 3 entry points:

1. The secret place. (Matthew 6:6)

2. Fear Him (Psalms 25:14)
3. God’s Prophets (Amos 3:7-8)

Our counsel: Be with God’s prophets today. Prophets are

Dream with God
We previously alluded that people
began to see, through the hand of
God in our lives, that there is power in
dreaming with God.

It has now been many years since we

began dreaming with God. We can
truly say that all the spiritual substance
and other in our lives, are as a result of dreaming with
God. We are still dreaming with God and will continue to
do so. And so will our children and theirs.

There is power and a great future in dreaming with God.

It is impossible to involve the great God in all of your life
and it not take on His greatness. That is what the father
of faith, Abraham, discovered whilst dreaming with his
Creator.

Many desire to dream about God. However, it is time

to wake up and start dreaming with God! Know that
dreaming with God is never a waste of time, for every
great feat begins with a big dream and a great God.

It is the start of a weekend. Guess what we will be doing

Submission In Deed
The bible calls people who despise and
oppose authorities, “brute beasts.” Will you
on the last day be named among the brute
beasts or the children of God?

It is therefore not only a sound and noble

practice to obey those with spiritual oversight
over you, but expected and commanded by
the Lord.

The man of God, David said, “Behold, how good and how pleasant
it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious
ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even
Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As
the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the
mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing,
even life for evermore.”

Submission to spiritual authority is paramount. The oil flows from

the head downwards and the dew descends: this is the benefit
and power of submission.

It is our conviction in the Lord that submission must be in truth: in

other words, “in deed” submission, which is in heart, word and in
deeds.

Furthermore, that the spiritual test of true submission lies in how

well you learn the ways, culture, philosophy and doctrine of the
one you are submitted to. Learning takes place through service,
observation, imitation and instruction.

It is written, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is

right.” Are you doing that? You are wise if you do.

God’s Time Is Best
A certain man of God was famed for the
saying, “God’s time is best.”

Indeed it must be true. Is not God the maker

of all things truly beautiful? Think about the
earth, the galaxy, the animals and man. In the
same vein the scripture says, “He hath made
every thing beautiful in his time.”

Things were made beautiful in His time. In

moving with God on the earth, knowing His time is vital. It is written,
“...when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
made of a woman...” Jesus came into the earth at a specific time,
determined by God.

God calls at a certain time and then sends at a certain time. Time
may lapse in between. That period in between, is for “the making.”
Consider Jesus in the calling and sending of His apostles. Jesus
called His disciples to follow Him for “the making.” The bibles says,
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of
men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.”

Then more than three years later: the death, burial and resurrection
completed, Jesus sends them into the world. These were His words,
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The scripture then records, “And they went forth, and preached
every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word
with signs following. Amen.”

They went everywhere after the sending. They went in His time and
therefore He was there, working with them.

There is The Calling, The Making and The Sending. In God’s mission
for you, where are you at? Locate yourself. Beauty is always located

Pray For Your Pastor, Again And Again
Jesus, in scripture, referred to a
spiritual strategy, “strike the shepherd,
scatter the sheep.”

You see, in the absence of shepherds,

the predators would have a field day
or feast. The only thing standing
between the devourers and the sheep
are the shepherds. That is why Jesus put shepherds
over His flock. And said, “The voice of a stranger, My
sheep follow not. They know My voice and I call them
out and they follow Me.”

The voice of Jesus is in your pastor. Trust and obey.

There is no other way. The devil knows this and therefore
tries to separate the sheep from the shepherd.

If he can’t entice the sheep away, he turns to striking

the shepherds. Your pastors face more spiritual attacks
than you could imagine. The devil knows that the pastor
is the only one equipped with the spiritual rod to smite
him. So he tries to attack the shepherd, by surprise.
Consider this and pray for your pastors again and again.

Today, don’t bite your shepherds, pray for them. You

might just be saving your own life and your family’s. If
you neglect and your pastor is taken out, who is God
going to send to help you?

Scripture reading: Philippians 1:19

Not Out of Emotion
The scripture says to be angry and sin not.

Emotions are powerful and move the

entire human being. Emotions can bypass
the human reasoning structure. Many a
destiny have been altered irreversibly, by
unbridled emotions. How many people
have lost careers or even made enemies
by speaking in err, fueled by spur of the
moment emotions?

The story was told of someone doing an apprenticeship, who

out of emotion, once told their boss to do the work themselves
if they are not satisfied by how it is being done. The boss
reacted by asking the person to leave the company, with
immediate effect. The person was never allowed back into
another apprenticeship anywhere else. And did not fulfill their
dream. Imagine spending all your life dreaming and studying
to enter a certain field, then needlessly cutting yourself off
from it. How many people have found themselves there?

The scripture tells us that the wrath of man does not produce
the righteousness of God. Righteousness is one of the key
ingredients that enables a triumphant life, aided by God. The
scepter of the Lord’s kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.

Never inhibit yourself from moving in righteousness. Unbridled

emotion is surely a way to that kind of inhibition.

Be angry and sin not. Give the devil no place. Do not speak
out of emotions. Release faith fueled speech. Its called holy
utterance.

Scripture reading: Ephesians 4:26-27

Send Forth His Spirit
God created the heaven and the earth.
God is our Prolific Creator. Who is like
Him?

Only you! His children made in His

likeness. Fashioned after His likeness.
Filled with His Spirit. The new creation.
The first fruits of His creature.

It is written, “Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are

created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.”

God created the world by sending forth His Spirit. And

He brought renovation to the earth that way.

What is it that you want to create? Is it a business? A

product? Or even a new job or promotion? Do it God’s
way. Send forth His Spirit.

You ask “How?” It’s quite simple, Ask the Holy Spirit to
brood upon that area of your life. Then, “speak it.” Say,
“I create this new product. Now it stands forth!”

Such a command will release the fountain of spiritual

Hold Your Peace
In the face of foolish people, one can many
times be tempted to speak but to give in to
that urge, would be foolishness in itself.

Wisdom knows how to control the tongue

against all pressure not to.

Jesus found Himself before a face of a

very foolish man but gave him no answer. As it is written,
“Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered
him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes stood and
vehemently accused him. And Herod with his men of war
set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a
gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.”

Herod tried hard to provoke the Lord but He answered not a

word.

Do not fear evil and foolish men. Answer them not a word.
The Holy God is by your side and will defend you against such
foolishness. At the end, God will speak and darkness will flee.

Moses told the people of God not to fear but to stand still
and see God at work. God does not speak for those who can
speak for themselves.

Learn to provoke the living God, to come to your aid: Hold

your peace!

Scripture reading: Luke 23:9-11

In other words, the one used by God will learn something

about moving with God and working miracles.

We are reminded of the following passage, “Now

therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight,
shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may
find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy
people.”

God made His ways known to Moses. Why? Moses

prayed, “Show me now thy way that I may know thee.”
No wonder God said of Moses, “Who the Lord knew face
to face.” Moses got to know God by getting to know His
ways.

King David read this and cried, “Shew me thy ways, O

Move Like A Lion
Solomon, the wise, described the lion as
one of the four which are comely in going.

The lion moves in a certain way. The Lord

likened His focus and resolve to that of a
lion. Isaiah said, “For thus hath the Lord
spoken unto me, Like as the lion and
the young lion roaring on his prey, when
a multitude of shepherds is called forth
against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase
himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come
down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.”

Jesus is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah!

Why move like a lion? A lion is bold in his movement. He moves

with confidence, pace and certainty. The scripture says,“The
wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold
as a lion.” Righteousness is lion-like in nature and expression.

Peter tells us that even the devil tries to imitate the lion’s ways.
We have news for you: know that you are more lion-like than
the devil. He is no lion because he flees when you resist him,
steadfast in the faith. You don’t flee.

Solomon said about the lion, “A lion...turneth not away for

any.” From now on, be comely in your going. Walk with holy
boldness. Be focused, certain and rhythm-ed in all you do.

Move like a lion. Let your roar be heard and felt. Go well.

Higher Grade Spiritual Truth
The bible teaches that there are levels
in the Spirit.

Similarly, some spiritual truths are

more difficult to understand than
others.

Certain levels of spiritual wisdom is not meant for the

unlearned and unstable. They will just twist it unto their
own destructions.

It is important that you realize this, so that you can be

aware and ready to pray for a hearing ear and spiritual
understanding.

Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days, just for spiritual

understanding.

It may take this type of commitment to handle higher

grade spiritual truth.

Are you willing to pay the price? It is worth it all.

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 3:15-18

Maintain Your Stride
We are sure by now, you are starting (if not
already) to get into a rhythm or stride for this
year. It is important to have your eyes on the
prize and begin to stride with that in mind.

Yet, there will be many milestones and

happenings, between now and the prize. You
will be required to side step the negative and
step-up on the positive happenings, without
losing your stride.

David prayed, “Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps

slip not.” King David, knew that he should not be slipping, stumbling
and falling down. Off course David also said, “Though he fall, he
shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his
hand.”

For the scripture is true in saying, “For a just man falleth seven
times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
Yet, falling and rising again is disruptive and costly. It is exceedingly
better to maintain your stride. Hence, David’s prayer.

David’s prayer was not one of desperation but was uttered out of
revelation. He knew that because the word of God was in Him, the
answer to that prayer was the just outcome. Before he prayed, “My
footsteps slip not.” He declared, “Concerning the works of men, by
the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.”

The words of God feed the rhythm of your forward movement in

life. Feed daily at the table of His wisdom and drink from the water
spot of spirit-filled prayer.

Knowledge of God is reason to glory.

There is a type of knowledge that

Be Immune
This is such a sensitive topic during these
times, that we feel that it needs to be
explored a bit more:

God instructed His prophet with a strong

hand. To experience God’s voice so
strongly is quite an experience and from
experience we know it can really shake
you. It gets your attention.

What God was about to tell Isaiah would ultimately save the
lives of Isaiah and his disciples. God said:

1. That he should not walk in the way of those people by

saying what they say.

2. That he should not fear their fear.

3. That he should not be terrified by their sources of terror.

4. That he should sanctify the Lord of Hosts Himself.

5. That the Lord should be His fear and terror.

6. And that God would then be a sanctuary for Isaiah, whilst

the others stumble, fall, are snared, taken and broken
because they drank the demonic gin.

The reality of immunity, like in the days of Isaiah and Moses,

still exists. It is yours if you can spiritually position yourself.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 8:11-15

For the Lord spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A
confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the Lord of hosts
himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of
offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and
fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

The Yoke, Destroyed
Isaiah recorded the following prophetic
utterance, “And it shall come to pass in that
day, that his burden shall be taken away from
off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck,
and the yoke shall be destroyed because of
the anointing.”

The king of Assyria at that time was subjecting

nations and forcing them to pay tribute into
the coffers of Assyria. It was extortion of the
highest kind. Whoever would not comply or cease to comply, would
be decimated militarily. King Hezekiah and Jerusalem would later
face Assyria’s wrath. The Lord, by the mouth of the Prophet Isaiah,
was prophetically comforting His people that Assyria would no
longer be able to subject them: the yoke would be destroyed.

Yokes were used on an ox in the early farming industry, to harness

the combined strength of more than one ox. The yoke was used to
join the oxen so that they can move forward together, using the joint
force of their movement.

God did not want His people yoked and equalised. After all, they
were His special people, “having a commonwealth, heirs of the
covenants of promise, having hope and God in the world.” Isaiah
told them that the anointing would cause the yoke to be destroyed.
The smearing of God’s presence on them would cause them to
expand and push against the yoke, until it scatters into pieces,
beyond repair.

That prophecy would later come to pass when, in response to the

prayers of King Hezekiah and the Prophet Isaiah, God sent an angel
from heaven and decimated the Assyrian army. The king of Assyria
died a few days after his defeat.

What yoke has been restricting you? Allow the anointing to expand
you from within: that yoke will be obliterated very soon.

How To See God’s Power
Jesus said, “But ye shall receive power, after
that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye
shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto
the uttermost part of the earth.”

God is on the inside of you, if you have been

filled with the Holy Spirit.

Yet, you will experience little of God’s power

unless you meet the conditions to see that power flow.

David gave us the key in his Psalm, “O God, thou art my God; early
will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and
thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”

Your soul must thirst and your flesh must long to see God’s power
flow through you. A longing that goes deep into your bones, is
required to stir the power of God on the inside of you.

The prophet Elisha so longed and manifested the power of God,

that the power was stored in his bones, even after he died. It is
recorded, “And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of
the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year. And it
came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied
a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha:
and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha,
he revived, and stood up on his feet.”

Years after his death, a dead corpse came in contact with his bones
and came back to life! Elisha’s longing and journey with God’s power
is one of public record.

Let the story of Elisha’s journey stir you to a thirst and longing that
cannot be denied.

Scripture reading: Psalm 63:1-2

You Are Spirit
You are a spirit. You were born of the
Spirit. You are spirit. Jesus said, “...

Spirit has its own nature and ways.

Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where
it listeth, and thou hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is
born of the Spirit.”

As spirit, your movements are like the wind. To gather

intelligence about you is as good as gathering intelligence
on the wind. Your opponents have a near impossible
task of predicting and containing you in this life.

You are spirit and what you bring forth is not the same
as others. Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the
flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life.”

You make an unerasable impact. The words you speak

are spirit and life. The people around you are desperate
for some life. You are placed in their atmosphere so that
they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.

Your world unknowingly is gasping for spirit. Their souls

are desperate to have it. You are that spirit. This season,
let them have it.

he hath borne it upon him.”

Nehemiah was such a man, who bore the

burden for God’s people and the city that he grew up in. The
bible tells us that Nehemiah was in captivity as the servant to
a foreign king, when he heard of the extent of devastation that
Jerusalem was experiencing.

He was so provoked that he began to fast and pray. He tells

us so in his own words, “And they said unto me, The remnant
that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great
affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken
down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to

Grow In Grace
Through the years we have spoken, preached
and taught about grace a whole lot.

Grace is very important for the Christian life.

In fact, the scripture says that by grace were
we saved. Our needs are met at the throne
of grace and we are instructed to go there to
find grace in time of need. Furthermore, we
need grace, mixed with reverence and godly
fear to serve God acceptably.

The Apostle Peter wrote and instructed the church to grow in

grace. These were his words, “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye
know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away
with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But
grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.”

He was saying to the church that they live in perilous times, with
unsettling things taking place, just as the scriptures prophesied.
Therefore, those with like precious faith should avoid being led
away with error and falling from their steadfastness as a result.
They were then instructed to grow in grace and in the knowledge
of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

You need to grow in grace. In fact, you can grow in grace so rapidly
by having grace multiplied unto you, through the knowledge of God
and our Lord Jesus. Remember, Paul admitted that his abilities as
an apostle were the outworking of special grace given to him.

Imagine you growing in grace by multiplication. Exponential

Every Christian should work for God.
Many work for money.

Others work for a brighter future.

Others work for self-fulfillment or self-

How many actually work for God? We
are not talking about being a pastor or
a preacher.

We talking about the motive, the motivation, the way the

effects and the quality of the output. Are these in, with and
for God? Work is the means of how the energy, supplied
by God, is expressed creatively and productively, for His
glory.

All work should be unto God. As it is written, “From Him

are all things and for Him are all things.” And again,
“Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the
soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men.”
AMPC

Peter said, “That we must show forth God’s “arete.” This

means God’s excellence, virtues, moral excellencies and
goodness.

This week, in all your work, show God’s “arete.”

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises
of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Labor
The apostle Paul said, “...by the grace of
God I am what I am: and his grace which
was bestowed upon me was not in vain;
but I laboured more abundantly than they
all: yet not I, but the grace of God which
was with me.”

Paul said that he labored more abundantly

than all the other apostles. He traveled a great deal, had
very long services and faced a great difficulty, of which the
scriptures testify.

The Prophet Elisha, labored so faithfully and fervently under

Elijah, the prophet that he was remembered by kings for
pouring water on the hands of Elijah. He was the hand wash
guy for Elijah. No wonder God would later use Elisha’s hands
to perform such extraordinary feats. His labor was not in vain.

Laboring in the Lord is very good. In fact, the scriptures,

commands us to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding
in the work of the Lord because we know that our labor is not
in vain in the Lord. The AMPC puts it this way, “Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior,
excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord],
knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the
Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].”

The Lord will reward us all. Today, commit yourself to the

above apostolic command and learn to labor.

Scripture reading: 2 Kings 3:11

A But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may enquire of the Lord by him? And one of the
king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah.

Always Seek God First
Many go to God. Many seek counsel of
God.

However, many do not go to God and

seek of God first. God through the
prophet Isaiah called that rebellion.
It is recorded, “Woe to the rebellious
children, saith the Lord, that take
counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but
not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to
go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to
strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to
trust in the shadow of Egypt...”

We saw in a previous devotion that rebellion is witchcraft.

Rebellion opens the rebel to a spirit of witchcraft. The
person can then be misled, manipulated and eventually
be destroyed.

Always seek God first. Ask counsel from the Holy Spirit
first. As prophetic strategists and spiritual leaders, it has
been our experience that some seek counsel from us last,
after having consulted everybody else from their friends
to strangers. That is a foolish error because the spirit of
counsel will not speak freely, if He has been left as a last
resort.

Seek God first.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 30:1-3

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not
of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen
themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be
your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

He Is Longing, Are You?
A man full of leprosy came to beseech Jesus
to cleanse him, if Jesus was willing to do it.
Luke records, “And it came to pass, when
he was in a certain city, behold a man full of
leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face,
and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean. And he put forth
his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be
thou clean.”

The man found out that Jesus indeed was willing and instantly
cleansed him.

Jesus also later cried out, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest

the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often
would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather
her brood under her wings, and ye would not!”

The Greek word translated, “would”, in the above passage is ‘thelō’

which means ‘to desire, to purpose to, to wish to, love to, like to
do, be fond of doing and long to, to take delight in, have pleasure.’

Jesus was longing to gather Jerusalem but Jerusalem did not

have the same longing to be gathered by Him. How sad a story!
Jerusalem would later be decimated just because she did not have
the reciprocal desire to be saved as was Jesus’ desire to save the
city. He told the Jewish leaders, “Search the scriptures; for in them
ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”

Let us not imitate the behaviour of the Pharisees and Jerusalem,

having a lack of desire. Today, be like the leper, who in his
desperation, besought Jesus and found out that He is longing.

Indeed He is longing, are you?

Scripture reading: Luke 13:34

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have
gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

The Servant
The patriarch Abraham one day, called his
most trusted servant and sent him to select
a wife for Isaac. He promised the servant the
following, “The LORD God of heaven, which
took me from my father’s house, and from the
land of my kindred, and which spake unto me,
and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed
will I give this land; he shall send his angel
before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto
my son from thence.”
Abraham told his servant that an angel of the Lord God of heaven
would go before him and cause him to identify the correct woman
to marry Isaac. It is quite unusual to have a celestial being assist
with a seemingly natural matter. What selection criteria would this
heavenly being use? After all, he came straight from the Lord God
of heaven. He is coming with God’s viewpoint and will do His will.
Angels do only God’s commandments and hearken unto His direct
word, in everything that they do. As it is written, “Bless the LORD,
ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments,
hearkening unto the voice of his word.”

The servant was inspired to exercise the following criteria, “...let

it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down
thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink,
and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou
hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that
thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.” The woman with the
extreme servant’s heart would be God’s choice for Isaac, to carry
on the great mandate of bringing forth Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
In fact, all the women used in the linage of Jesus were extreme
servants and so all women used in Jesus’ earthly ministry. This
servant nature is true of all God’s angels and all God’s prophets. He
calls prophets, “His servants, the prophets...”

Male or female, do you have an extreme servant’s heart? Can you

keep company with the heavenly? Can God call you, “My servant?”

Scripture reading: genesis 24:19-23

And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his
camels. And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.
And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two
bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold; And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there
room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?

Worship Jesus
The apostle John said, “And I saw in the
right hand of him that sat on the throne a
book written within and on the backside,
sealed with seven seals. And I saw a
strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice,
Who is worthy to open the book, and to
loose the seals thereof? And no man in
heaven, nor in earth, neither under the
earth, was able to open the book, neither
to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found
worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the
Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to
open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

None was found worthy in all the worlds, in all the times and
among all men, except the Jesus. He earned the right to unveil
and unleash the eons.

That same Jesus is our Redeemer, as it is written, “And they

sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book,
and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast
redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and
tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our
God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

This Sunday, worship Jesus. Sing unto Him a new song, for
He alone is worthy. Obey Jesus for His word is true.

He said, “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with

me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and
the last.”
Scripture reading: Revelation 5:14
And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and
ever.

• Are you ready to go?

Lets go!

Scripture reading: Proverbs 4:23-27

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips
put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

DECIDE
Prayer of Salvation
We trust you have been blessed by this devotional. We
invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by
praying this:

“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Your Word says, “...whosoever shall call on the name of
the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).

I confess that I am a sinner, in need of Your forgiveness.

I therefore renounce all forms of wickedness that I have
been a part of and ask you to forgive me for all my sin.
I ask Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to come into my
life and to become Lord and Ruler of my life. I receive
eternal life into my spirit. I am Yours forever. According
to the bible in Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved, “I declare that I am now saved; I am
born again from above by God’s Spirit; I am a child of
the Most High God! I now have Christ dwelling in me! I
now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Jesus
Christ. Praise the Lord!”

Congratulations! You are now a child of God. To receive
