Summary
During the recent United States political campaign, potential Democratic candidate running for
president, Elizabeth Warren, proposed a wealth tax. The proposal imposes a 2% annual tax on
households with a net worth above $50 million and a 3% annual tax on households with a net worth
above $1 billion, to decrease wealth inequality. This editorial cartoon shows how the top 1% of
households are not content with this tax, as it tries to distribute wealth and remove the drastic wealth
difference between the top 1% and the lowest 99% of households.
