WORK PLAN FOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Work in 6 groups of 4/5 students.

PROJECT:
Idea: What do you want to work with?
Problem-Question: What is there to solve using that idea?

1. Set SMART goals:

• Specific: What is happening, and why is it important?
• Measurable: What does success look like? What metrics can be used to show you’ve achieved success?
• Attainable: Is this goal realistic for the time frame, resources, and budget?
• Relevance: Why is the goal important for your team to work toward?
• Time-based: What’s the project time frame?

2. List resources you plan to use (human, physical, financial etc).

3. Assign team roles and responsibilities.

4. Establish a timeline (set time-bound milestones and deadlines; define start and end dates) and draw a
schedule.

5. Predict challenges and risks. List three of each.

6. What is the expected outcome? What kinds of impact will there be (social, economic, educational, health,
financial, technical, technological, environmental, scientific etc)?

MODEL:
1. Choose a model to work with in your project, search for a short didactic video on YouTube (up to 5
minutes) about it and watch it. See an example of video about Kanban -

• Lean
• Rapid Application Development (RAD)

2. Find information about your model in the respective book:
