The file ending in .brushset. The files ending in .procreate. The files ending in .swatches

IMPORT THE FILES

After you've downloaded the file and saved it to the Files app on your iPad, it
will appear as a ZIP archive in the folder you specified. You will extract the
archive to the same folder by tapping on the archive. Then click on each of the
files in the Brushes, Canvases, and Palettes folders, and they will be
automatically imported into Procreate app.

OPEN THE CANVAS FIND THE BRUSHES

HELPFUL TIP:

Create a separate folder with the canvases in your Procreate Gallery.

Swipe the canvas left, duplicate it, and only then paint on it. This
way, you'll always keep the original canvases in the Gallery, and you
won't have to import them for each new illustration constantly.

FAQS

“I can’t add more painting layers” or “The number

of layers I can add is low”.

The larger the canvas, the fewer the number of layers you can add.
Apparently, the RAM of your iPad doesn’t allow you to add more layers to
a particular canvas. To add more layers, you should make the canvas size
smaller. The instructions on how to crop canvas are on the page 7.

“The Main Brush is not as textured as the one in

one of the video tutorials.”

In the first tutorials, the brush was more textured, but I've updated this
brush and I think it looks more realistic now. Anyway, if you want the

HOW TO EXPORT PNG WITH
TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND
There are two options for exporting an artwork as
a PNG with a transparent background. If you turn
off all texture layers and the background layer,
you will see that your strokes are translucent, as
watercolor is a translucent paint. If you want to
export your artwork only as translucent "paint",
without paper backing, unfortunately, it is not
possible to export it applying watercolor texture
layers. In addition, this type of PNG is not popular
because it will only look good with light
backgrounds, but with dark backgrounds,
translucent areas can look incorrect.

If your artwork is painted on multiple layers, then
merge all your painting layers into one.

Unlock Paper & Texture layer group, and expand
all of its content. Tap on one of the layers and tap
Mask. Do this for all six layers in the Paper &
Textures group.

A second option for exporting illustration as a
PNG with a transparent background is to export
paint with a paper backing. It's as if you painted a
traditional watercolor illustration on a physical
paper, then scanned it and removed white paper
background in Photoshop or other software.
These are the kinds of PNGs used to sell on stocks
and other marketplaces. PNGs with a white
backing can be placed on both light and dark
backgrounds. Below are instructions on how to
export such a PNG from one the Watercolor
Studio canvases.

Tap your Painting layer to bring up Layer
Options, then tap Select.
04 EXPORT PNG
Hide the Background layer at the bottom of the
Layer panel and save your illustration as PNG.
After exporting, check the quality of the saved
PNG on different backgrounds. You may need to
erase some areas, especially those drawn with
wet effect brushes.

HOW TO RESIZE CANVASES

HOW TO MAKE IT SMALLER?

All canvases are provided in A4 size. This size is suitable

for drawing on most iPads, including older models. If
you need a canvas smaller than A4, you can crop it.
Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.

HOW TO MAKE IT BIGGER?

Enlarging the canvas by increasing its size and scaling

the textures is incorrect. This will damage the textures.
To make the canvas bigger than the one coming with
the kit, you need to crop an even bigger canvas to the
desired size. To do this, I provide links to download
canvases in A2 size. You’ll find them in this guide.

HOW TO CROP CANVAS

Tap Actions > Canvas > Crop and Resize. Tap on Settings on the top toolbar.

This will bring up the Crop and Resize interface, You'll see numerical readouts that display
which adds a grid overlay to your image. The the width and height of your canvas. Enter
edges of this box represent the new edges of numerical dimensions to precisely crop your
your canvas. You can adjust it in various ways. canvas.

IF A2 CANVASES DON’T OPEN:
iPad RAM determines the maximum layer count
for a given canvas size. Since the canvases
contain 7 layers (6 texture layers and at least one
painting layer), A2-sized canvases may not open
on iPads with low RAM. If you own one of these
iPads with low RAM and need canvases bigger
than the ones coming with the kit, send me a
private message on Creative Market.

I don’t recommend downloading other
canvases so as not to make a mess in your
Library. The links below are for those who need
a little more than that for professional use.

Specify the canvas size you need by first
checking the maximum number of layers
available on your iPad for that canvas size. To
check this, create a new canvas with these sizes
and make sure that the maximum number of
layers is at least 7.

PRINTING YOUR ART

The canvases from the kit contain watercolor paper texture, in order to make your digital
artwork look as much like a traditional watercolor as possible. Any paper you intend to
print on has its own texture. Even the smoothest paper has its own slightly visible
texture. If you print digital texture from canvases onto physical paper, however, it can
look unnatural. So when printing, I recommend either turning off the Paper Background
layer from the Paper&Textures group (Paper&Textures > Paper > Background) or creating
a mask as described on the "How to export PNG with transparent background" page.

Generally speaking, it is impossible to give clear recommendations because any printing

result is very dependent on the type of printing, ink, and paper and requires printing
samples. Try printing on different paper types, and determine which result you are
satisfied with. You can also try printing your artwork without removing the paper texture,
as described above. Who knows, maybe this is exactly what you need.

Also, note many manufacturers make paper for printing with a watercolor paper texture,
which is good for replicating watercolor artwork

OTHER REALISTIC KITS

These Procreate brushes are so realistic. Now I

wasn’t much to use makers in procreate mainly
because they just didn't feel/look realistic. But
man these act so much like high end art markers
and its pretty hard to tell that it is done digitally.
And I mean like I’ve bought several other marker
packs more expensive than these but they just
pale in comparison to these.
