 Step 1: Become an ICF Member

If you’re serious about your coaching

business, first become an ICF global
member.

You’ll get access to valuable resources and

learning opportunities.

It’s USD $245 per year.

 Step 2: Pick a Niche

Identify a specific audience you want to

serve or a problem you want to solve.

Preferably one that you’re passionate

about (because business is hard and your
passion is what will pull you through)

Choose a target and serve it well.

 Every coach I know hates the idea of
selecting a niche.

I did too.

But please understand this:

Coaching may be industry agnostic.
Business is not.

So, chase one rabbit. Don’t chase five.

 Step 3: Create Awareness

Now you need people to know you exist.

This can either happen through speaking to
your target audience 1-on-1 or using social
media.

One thing I say often is that “not letting

others know about what you do is like
winking at someone in the dark. You
know that you’re winking but they don’t
know it”.

 Step 4: Speak Your Clients Language

Your ICF credentials are important but

please don’t expect people to fall on your
lap because you’re a credentialed coach.

Clients don’t care about your credentials.

They only care whether you can help
them.

So talk about & write content that speaks to

your audience's needs and desires.

Step 5: Find Your Clients Where They Are

Put yourself out there through various

platforms.

You’ll know where your ideal clients are.

And when you find them, speak & write

content from your whole heart & soul.
The right people will resonate with you
and reach out.
