vi. The Library Browser lets you browse and

search Simulink® block libraries for blocks to
use in your models. The Figure 5 points out
the Library Browser’s principal features and
their usage.

viii. Selecting blocks:
Many Library pane procedures require you to
select a block displayed in the pane. To
select a block, click it with the mouse. The
Library Browser moves the block selection
cursor to the selected block.

ix. To display a library block’s parameter dialog

box, double-click the block in the Library
pane or select Block parameter from the
block’s context menu.

x. Built and study a model of a DSB-AM

modulator as Figure 6. The linked in Figure 6
is annotated with a set of reasonably good
starting simulation parameters, but it may be
able to enhance system performance by
varying a parameter or two. If no parameter
is specified, use the library default value.

xi. Configuring the model:
After create a Simulink model, you can enter
configuration parameters for the model.
These parameters control many properties of
the model for simulation and code generation.
Ensure that the configuration parameters as
below:
• Simulation time from 0.0s to 10.0s.
• Solver : ode5 (Dormand+Prince) and
type: Fixed-step with size 0.01s.
• Periodic time unconstrained and Auto
tasking mode for periodic sample time.

xii. Running a Simulation

You use Simulink normal mode to run a non-
real-time simulation. Running a simulation
lets you observe the behavior of your model
in nonreal time. After you load your Simulink
model into the MATLAB workspace, you can
run a simulation.
Note : Ensure that you have saved all your
work at the first stage before run the
simulation.
