The contactors are compact in size and are fully serviceable, excluding P’ versions, wth a full range of ‘spare paris available, ‘They are economical in prce and compare favourably with sealed automotve style solencid switches which cannot be serviced or inspected for contact wear Page 1 Sar Mounting is by means of 4mm tapped Noles in the swvtch f together with 2 range of mounting brackets complete wih sorews ang washers. CEs Coil voltages ranging from 6 to 240, are available and these are wound for DC. operation. The most important of these arrangements ae the motor reversing circuts provided by the SW88, DC88 and SWE22 contactor pais. ‘The S28 and DC8B types have a builtin falsafe so that i! both coils are energised simutanaously the Ccontact design creates an open Greult station. The SW822 types have fast drop. oul times (approx 5 m.sec) and relatively slow pullin times (approx 20 msec). Therefore motor rection changes can be Undertaken without risk of al Contacts being closed at the sane time, However, certain types of coil suppression such as diodes subsantially increase crop-out timas and care must be taken to ensure sutable suppression is fitted, eg, diode and resistor in series, PEE The single pole types (excluding 'P versions) can be fited with permanent magnet biowouts. These enable the cortacts to switch OC voltages of 48 or higher Fitting of biowouts makes the contacts polarity sensitive and the Positive markings on the top cover of the contactor must be observed. The sullix ‘B’ denotes the fiting of magnetic blowouts. for example SwN30B, AUXILIARY CONTACT: A double circut normally open, normally closed microswitch can be fited which has a DC. resistive rating of S Amperes at 24v, ‘The suffix 'A’ should be added fo the type number when an auxilary contact is required, for example, W80A, Note: Auxliary contacts cannot be fited to the SWN82 oF SW822 types. EE All types can be fited with closed ‘contact housings as a low cost option to provide protection against environmental dust However, special versons of the Doss, Dose, Swad, Swa2, SWE5 ‘and SWW822 contactors are avaiable which ave protected to IPE6 against particularly adverse environments ‘such as water spray, airborne dust. etc. These contactors, which have the suffix 'P’, are sealed in an inert plastic case’and are fitted with mounting brackets as shown in the Grawings.
