CVE 309L – Laboratory Activities (LA-3)

DATE OF SUBMISSION: April 24, 2023 (Monday) up to 3:00pm only

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Use short bond paper substance 20 or equivalent. Staple your work at the upper left corner only
(or you may use small binder clip).
2. Page border (use thin line only, black ink), can be printed.
1.5 in (Left side)
1.0 in (Right, Top and Bottom)
3. Print the Title Page and fill in the blanks manually except for the Date Submitted.
4. Copy each problem from the Questionnaire.
5. One problem per page. Only one (1) additional bond paper is allowed for each problem if
necessary. No writing at the back.
6. All parts of the solutions must be done manually.
7. For each problem, use black ink only for the solution. For figures, diagrams, etc., different ink
colors may be used for better presentation. Do not use pencil.
8. Round-off to four decimal places for all calculations and enclose final answer in a box.
9. If properties of water are not given in the problem, use standard values (e.g., ρ = 1000 kg/m 3).
10. Use g = 32.2 ft/s2 = 9.81 m/s2.
