Facts About Our SOLAR SYSTEM

The Solar System has Eight

Planets. ...
Earth is only a very small part
of The Solar System. ...
The Solar System formed 4.6
Billion years ago. ...
The Solar System is part of The
Milky Way. ...
The Sun is 93 million miles from
the Earth. ...
All planets and the Sun in the
Solar System are shaped like
balls
MERCURY
The smallest planet in Solar System and closest to the sun. So It is
the second hottest planet in the Solar System. The temperature on
Mercury was 354 degrees F. It only slightly larger than Earth's
moon. Mercury is the fastest planet, zipping around the sun every
88 Earth days. It distances from sun is 58 million km. Length of the
day in mercury is 58days 15hours 30minutes. It colour is state grey.
In Solar System the planet Mercury is covered in thousands of
craters. Mercury’s surface has ice on it.
And the surface is rich in sulfur and it surface is more similar the
earth moon. Strange fact is there is no moon only Mercury and
Venus in this Solae System. Mass of the mercury is 3N. And the
radius is 2,439.7km.
The planet was first observed through the
newly invented telescope in 1631 by
astronomers Galileo Galilei and Thomas
Harriot,according to NASA Science. Mercury
is a Rocky Planet. A day on Mercury takes 59
Earth days. Mercury has been visited by two
spacecraft – Mariner 10 and MESSENGER.
Mercury is one of the five classical planets
visible with the naked eye and is named after
the swift-footed Roman messenger god. It is
not known exactly when the planet was first
discovered - although it was first observed
through telescopes in the seventeenth century
by astronomers Galileo Galilei and Thomas
Harriot.
