Select attachments such as hooks to match the grade, size, and working load limit of the slings. Be aware of the environment where Lifting hardware are being used. Extreme temperatures and corrosive media can affect the working load limit life of lifting hardware. Never exceed the working load limit. Never apply more force than the tackle’s assigned Working Load Limit (WLL) rating. Always protect slings/tackles from corrosion and high temperatures. ALWAYS INSPECT slings/tackles for WEAR, DAMAGE or ABUSE BEFORE USE and ELONGATION, do not impact load or jerk slings. Apply load slowly. Never USE slings/tackles that is CUT, TWISTED, KNOTTED, KINKED, WORN-OUT, DAMAGED or ABUSED. Slings/Tackles WILL FAIL if worn-out, overloaded, misused, damaged, improperly maintained or abused.
