In Memory of Blanche Marie (Guillemette) Joron

February 12, 1916 - March 30, 2007

My sweet, loving Nanny was my first introduction to dowsing. She used this
technique to foretell the gender of baby in pregnant women as well as the
number of pregnancies a woman would have in her lifetime.

I can feel you smiling at me at times when I am dowsing. I miss you each
and every single day.
Dedication

Dedicated to Azlyn, my infernal guide who rules over divination. Thank you
for aiding me in finding the answers to my questions pertaining to what the
future holds. You have made me knowledgeable in seeing all possible
outcomes and impacts when seeking my answers so that consideration can be
taken to what the next steps should be. It is through your guidance and
support that I am able to chose the best course of action that is always in
alignment with my highest good.

Gratias ago tibi, quia omnia mea pulchra Daemon dux

Introduction

The art of divination is practiced by many cultures and found all over the
world. The earliest documentation of dowsing as a practice is 400 BCE
(Before Christian Era). There have been etched images of dowsing being
performed discovered in caveman caves and ancient pyramids. It is fair to
say that no-one really knows how long the art of dowsing has been practiced
or the purpose in which the dowsing practices were performed. It appears
based on what has been discovered from ancient times that both divining rods
and pendulums were used in dowsing practices.

Pendulums are a symmetrical, weighted object at the end of anything that can
hold some tension when it is held up. The pendulum is held by the string,
chain, thread or even cord with your dominate hand. You use your thumb
and index finger while the weighted object hangs. The tension cord can be
draped over your index finger to provide more stability. The object will
swing in a particular direction to give you answers to your questions or to
other information sought.

Divining rods are metal rods that are held one in each hand straight in front of
you. These rods will cross, spread or spin to give you answers to your
questions or point you in a physical direction. A single dowsing rod can be
used by holding it in your dominate hand and using your finger of your other
hand on the bottom of the handle. The rod will then spin to answer your
question.

Since both divination tools can be used for the same purpose, those
similarities will be covered jointly. We will then go into detail the practices
of both pendulums and divining rods in separate chapters.

This book is being written from the perspective of using dowsing as a method
for divination. It is important to note that some professional dowsers do not
refer to using dowsing tools for divination as a real form of dowsing. It is in
more spiritual communities that the term “dowsing” as the practice of tapping
into a higher energy for answers that are not consciously known. Even
though both tools are used in similar ways, they can be used with completely
different perspectives and intent.

It is important to also note that bobbers can be used for dowsing for
divination purposes. A bobber is a straight moveable metal rod that has a
wooden handle and a ball on the end. It will bob to give you an answer. It is
sometimes referred to as a bobber wand. You can make your own bobber
wand by getting any stick that is about 10 - 15 inches in length that has a
thick and thin end. You cut all the leaves off and hold the stick by the thin
end allowing the heavy end to bob. You then can ask the stick to show you a
yes response and then a no response. You can then use that stick as your own
bobber wand for divination to answer questions you have.

Since there is not much to cover with bobbers in relation to divination other
than what was just reviewed, this book will specifically review pendulums
and divining rods.
Why Pendulums and Divining Rods Work?

There are many different theories on how a pendulum and divining rods work
for divination. No-one really knows for sure. The topic can be controversial
because there is no scientific explanation for how or why this practice works,
it just does. It works for both divination and non divination practices.

It is believed to be the ideomotor effect that makes these tools effective. The
ideomotor effect means that there are small unconscious movements from our
body because we are expecting to have an answer. It is this expectation of
receiving an answer that makes subtle movements to create an answer
through the instrument we are using.

One theory that piggy backs off of the ideomotor effect is that the items
respond to the energetic field tapped into your higher self or
subconsciousness. With holding the tools (pendulum or rods) in your hand,
your muscle response, heart beat and/or unconscious movement in your hand
and wrist make the item move in a particular way. This is then tapping into
your subconscious that knows the answer by being part of the larger divine
energy source.

We are energetic beings in a human body. With that being said, we are part
of the larger etheric energetic system. This system has three major
components, an aura (one inch from the body), the chakras (7 going from the
base of your spine to the crown of your head) and nadis (3 main going from
base of your spine to your head). The nadia are the pathways of the prana
system. The prana system, in basic terms is the life force energy or your
spirit energy.

That leads us to another theory, one where people believe that the items can
connect directly to spirits. That the spirits use their energy in combination
with yours to influence the movement in order to give you a correct answer.
Even though those are two different theories, if you really think about it, they
are based on the same theory just with a bit of a different spin. They are the
same if you believe that we are all in essence part of the same energy source.
Whether or not it is a spirit or the unconscious mind, both are tapped into the
same energy which would give the person unconscious body movements in a
direction to produce a accurate answer.

If you hold your pendulum between your finger and your thumb, allowing it
to hang while asking a yes/ no question, you will know that you are not
making any conscious body movements that is making the answer appear.
Yet there will be an answer, a surprisingly accurate answer. You can support
your arm by resting it on a table. The cord can be wrapped around your
index finger before placing it in between your finger and thumb for additional
stability.

With divining rods it may appear to others that you are able to manipulate the
answer but if you are not tilting them up or down, they will just move on their
own as long as you don’t have too firm of a grip. One day when I had my
rods out, I was joking and said “who is the biggest liar in the room” and what
happened? Both rods immediately pointed to one person. It turned out that
person was in actual fact, the biggest liar in the room.

You can stabilize your rods by having a loose grip on them and holding them
straight out in front of you. Stand with your feet slightly apart for stability.

Having your own theory on how they work is important. You can have no
belief that they work at all and they will in fact still work. A theory will help
you determine what you believe in. That belief system is important because
you will bring that with you into other practices and modalities. You don’t
need to determine what your theory is to start working with these divination
tools. Over time you will develop a theory of what you will hold to be true.
Divining Rods

Dowsing using rods has historically been mostly associated to finding water
or metals buried underground. The most popular rods are made out of copper
because it is an excellent conductor of energy. The rods do not need to be
made of copper to be effective. Brass and other metals can also be used and
are also effective. A set of metal coat hangers or construction pin flags also
work well. The rods are usually about 10 inches horizontally in length with a
vertical handle.

There are many different practices that use divining rods and for varying
different reasons.

Grave Witching: Cemetery workers use the rods to determine the location
of buried remains. This is referred to as “grave witching”. The term grave
witching is also referenced by the cemetery workers as a form of dowsing.

This grave witching is performed by holding the rod with a loose grip and
walking. If the rods cross (making an X) then there is a body buried in that
spot. If the rods stay crossed as you walk, it can determine the length of the
person buried.

An example would be that the rods would stay crossed for one or two steps,
indicating a baby. The rods would stay crossed for approximately four steps
for a child and approximately six steps for an adult. The amount of steps
indicate the length of the buried remains.

To determine the gender, you would hold one rod with your dominate hand
and use your index finger of the other hand, placing that finger covering the
bottom section of the handle. The rod will rotate clockwise for a male and
counter clockwise for a female.
Other grave witching practices indicate that if the rods cross (making an X)
then the body is a male buried and if the rods go outward (making a Y) then it
is a female.

Grave witching has also been done using a forked stick made from hazel
wood. A Grave Witcher would hold the forked ends and the long end would
bob towards the ground to indicate that a body is buried in that spot.

Water Witching:

This practice is used for locating underground water by using a forked

stick/branch or metal L shaped rods. To obtain the answers that you seek,
this tool is used the same way as grave witching. The types of branches or
sticks used are from willow or hazel wood. You might have noticed that a
willow tree will always be found near water. The branches droop down
toward the water whether the water is visible to you or not. The willow tree
has long been associate with having a connection to water.

If you are using metal rods to find water they will cross into an X once you
are over a water source.

Some water witching is conducted by using a bobber. The bobber was

reviewed briefly in the introduction.

Grave and water witching are the two practices that use sticks and rods for
dowsing. Rhabdomancy is another word for dowsing with rods or sticks.

Paranormal Investigations:

Divining rods are commonly used in paranormal investigations. You hold

the rods in your hand and walk around the room and the rods will cross into
an X when areas are found to contain high energy. When the rods cross you
put one rod down and use the other rod to communicate. You ask to be
shown a yes answer then a no answer. Like the grave witching, hold one rod
with your dominate hand and put your index finger of your non dominate
hand on the bottom of the handle base. Normally the clockwise motion is a
yes and counter clockwise is a no. It is always good practice to start with
asking to be shown a yes response, then no response. Once you know what a
yes and no answer looks like, you than ask the spirit if you can communicate
with them. Sometimes the spirit wants to lead you somewhere. If you get a
yes response to the question “are you wanting to show me something” the
rods then can point you in the direction to where you need to go. You just
need to ask to be pointed in the right direction.

Rod positions:
Pendulums

Does anyone remember when they were young and grandma pulled out a
needle and thread when ever someone said they were pregnant? This was to
see if the baby was going to be a girl or a boy? I remember, my maternal
grandmother (Nanny) doing this. I never knew back then that this was called
dowsing. Back in my childhood, many grandmothers did this practice. My
grandmother would use the needle as the weighted object on a thread to act as
a pendulum. I remember her holding this over a pregnant woman’s stomach
and the needle would spin like it had a mind of it’s own. The needle would
go in a circle to signify the baby was a girl and it would swing back and forth
if the baby was a boy.

This practice completely amazed me as a young child. I just thought it was

an old wives tale but I couldn’t argue that my grandmother was always
correct in her prediction.

A pendulum is a symmetrical, weighted object at the end of anything that can

hold some tension when held up. There are many different styles and thought
processes as to why people choose the ones that they do. If it feels right for
you, then try it out.

How to use your pendulum:

Grounding is important. When I say this I mean in the easiest form, it is not
complicated, just take a few deep breaths and concentrate on what your goal
is. Feel your connection grounding down through your feet and up out the
top of your head connecting to spirit.

Many people do all kinds of protections rituals, I do not feel this is

necessary. Knowing of methods to energetically protect yourself is helpful,
however you are working with your own subconsciousness. If you feel like
you need to put layers of protection between you and yourself then I think
there is a problem.

Some people think that working with spirits you need to protect yourself. If
that is your thinking then you probably should not be working with spirits.
Think of it like this, you want to connect with a spirit but you put all kinds of
layers of protection there so you in actual fact prevent spirits from
communicating. Say you just want to speak with your Grandmother and put
all kinds of protection layers in place but your Aunt wants to come though.
You just prevented spirit communication with your Aunt because you have
only allowed for your Grandmother.

You also don’t want to offend any spirits if they come through. I know if I
was to go near someone and they acted so fearful and had to do all these
things to protect themself from me, I probably wouldn’t even bother to talk to
them. The spirit world is the same. Spirits can get offended just like us.

With any process you need to do what is best for you and what makes you
feel comfortable. So just make yourself comfortable in your mind, body and
spirit, however that looks for you. When you are comfortable and relaxed,
you are then grounded. If you feel the need to do some protection, that is
your choice.

The next step is to hold a weighted object, hanging from a string, chain,
thread, anything really, with your thumb and index finger of your dominate
hand and the item will move in a particular way to answer your query.

I do want to note that I did find a difference in the accuracy depending on

how I have held the cord of the pendulum. It needs to hang down about 10
inches. The cord is suggested to be held between the thumb and index
finger. There were times I just draped the cord over my index finger but this
seemed to not really connect the pendulum to my energy as much and my
readings were not as accurate. My readings were accurate if I had it draped it
over my finger but the cord was still held with my thumb and index finger.

It is important that if you have a longer cord, that you hold the excess cord in
your hand. This will prevent the excess cord from interfering with the
swaying when the pendulum when it is responding with an answer.

When you are first starting out, you can stabilize your arm on a table. Make
sure there is no breeze or anything that would clearly move the pendulum.
Once you are comfortable using your tool, you can use it in any way, over
anything, as you would have built up the technique with how to hold it. You
will also have the confidence in your readings. Having confidence is
important. Using stabilizing techniques in the beginning is important for
confidence building.

Once you have your pendulum hanging, open up your opposite hand (palm
side up) and ask to show you a yes and then a no. Once you have been
shown this, you are good to ask your questions.

You may read about or see on Youtube videos a long complicated process for
using pendulums. Using a pendulum is not complicated. Some believe you
need to find out the gender and name your pendulum. Again, not necessary
at all, but if you feel the need, then go right ahead.

When you are seeking your answer, you might get multiple variations of how
your specific pendulum wants to give it’s answer. It can make the
movements that look like nodding your head yes or shaking it no. Your
pendulum will go back and forth in the same motion, up and down for yes
and back and forth for no.

Some pendulums will swing in a clockwise motion to indicate a yes and

counter clockwise for a no answer.

Other pendulums will give you a mixture of both, like mine does. Mine
swings back and forth for a no answer and it spins in a clockwise motion for
a yes.

Some people believe that you should tell your pendulum what do to for a yes,
no and maybe. To me, that is not only too much effort but complicated. If
the energy is coming through the pendulum, why would I feel the need to
control that. Working cooperatively is better than micromanaging, no? I
always worked from the practice of asking it to show me how it wants to
respond and then using that direction to confirm my answers. It is quite
simple.

When my pendulum needs me to rephrase a question or doesn’t want to

answer, perhaps the answer is a maybe, it just won’t move. I suppose you
can direct it do to something different for all the different outcomes but that
doesn’t mean it will follow those instructions. Like any other practice,
working from a place of respect and being grateful for the connection will go
a long way in establishing good communication.
In this picture I am using a bobby pin and sewing thread.

What a pendulum can be used for:

Pendulums are excellent to be used for yes / no questions. There are several
ways in which to obtain your answer. The pendulum can be held over your
non dominate open palm exposing your palm chakra. This method gives an
amazing flow of energy to get accurate answers.

If you are wanting more clear direction you can use divining boards or charts
(we will get into this a little bit later). Boards and charts will list specific
answers or directions and the pendulum will swing to the correct answer.

Obtaining locations to lost items is also another method. You can ask the
pendulum to swing in the direction in which you should go looking.

If you are working with chakras, the pendulum can be a nice additional tool
to use with your intuition to see what chakras are blocked. The pendulum
then can be used to clear energy blockages. We will go into some more
detail about this in the Auric Field and Energy Healing chapter.

Pendulums can give the outline of shapes and give initials. It is less common
however it is possible.

A pendulum can give you insight to so much, including how your pet is
feeling or direction you should go in terms of a big decisions.

It is most important that you connect and bond with your pendulum and
journal your experiences so you can later go back and see how accurate your
readings were.

What are the best types of pendulums:

Before I can say what is the best type, it is important to mention that
historically when pendulums were being used, there were no fancy ones like
you can get now. You really only need something that is weighted that hangs
from something you can apply tension to.

Your grandmother’s necklace that she wore all the time would work. A rock
hanging on a rope or a twig tied to some string or a crystal on a chain would
work. As stated earlier, a needle or bobby pin hanging from thread works
perfectly fine. I think that rather than thinking of what you can use, perhaps
the question should be what shouldn’t be used.

Metals have conductivity properties and work well. These would work better
than what was used ages ago. Crystals have a power frequency so if you use
a corresponding crystal for a certain purpose, that would work wonderfully.
For example, you want to know about love and you use a rose quartz
pendulum.

Crystal pendulums are not the best option for a multi-purpose divination tool
due to crystals holding energetic frequencies. Ideally your pendulum fob
would be made of metal or wood. The material in which you hang the fob
part from should be rope, string or a cord. Chains are often used but it acts as
an antenna. This can pull in other energies in the room that you don’t want.
The more natural the material the better. Any cord will still act as an antenna
but connecting into your energetic field, not picking up everything else
around you or in the room that could possibly interfere with an accurate
reading.

The best type of pendulum is one that resonates with your energy. I am not
saying if you have a crystal pendulum with a metal chain you need to throw it
out but just for a test, use one like I had described and see which one gives
you the best reading. You may find they are both equal. That would be great
but it also might not be case.

Pendulums should have a point at the bottom. That is the pointer. If you are
using a pendulum chart that has lots of sections and the top part of your
pendulum is large, you might not be able to see where your pendulum is
pointing as it can obstruct your line of view. If this happens, just know you
can switch over to a needle and thread. Plastics are not a good option

There are several different styled pendulums that are available, some are
made to be pretty and others are based on specific geometric angles related to
specific qualities of energy. To determine what type of pendulum you want,
the first question is to ask yourself is what is your intention with the use.

Here are some examples of shapes you can look for when pendulum
shopping.

Abbe Mermet - Has a chamber to put a written message in. Good for
finding lost objects.

Cone - Good for working with chakras and accessing vibrational light.

Golden Hue - Therapeutic pendulum that gives off the three sacred energies
(BG3). Good for all uses and dowsers of all levels.

Isis - Represents the sacred cross of life after the Egyptian Goddess Isis.
This pendulum has 6 solar discs that act as an amplifier. Good for all uses
and dowsers of all levels.

Karnak - The key of life (Ankh) which represents the bridge of heaven,
earth, spirit and matter. Good for divining, healing and sending / receiving
messages.

Spiral - Also known as the vortex pendulum. Negative at the top and
positive at the bottom. Good for removing unwanted energy and healing
work.

UFO - Good for working with the human body and animals.

I didn’t go into a big list and have not included images of each because it is
of my own personal belief that they all are capable of doing the same thing.
A $300 pendulum is not going to give more accurate messages than a nail
tied to a string. It is all based on personal preference. The most important
thing is your connection to what you are using and you being relaxed and
open to connecting with the larger energy source.
Pendulum Charts

Pendulum charts are an amazing tool. If you want to obtain information that
is more than a yes / no answer, all you have to do is write various answers on
a chart. The charts provided in the pages to follow were created through
subtil.net, it is a free website and you can create your own.
For simplicity purposes I have included various charts with explanations on
how to use them.

Take your pendulum, do what ever grounding or centering process that you
have chosen to do. Get comfortable, take a deep breath and ask your
pendulum to show you a yes response and then no response. You do this in
the air or over your hand (non dominate hand open palm up). Once you have
your yes and no responses, then put your pendulum over the chart at the
“hinge point” then ask your question and the pendulum will swing to the
answer. You still ask the yes /no even though the pendulum will be swinging
to the answer on the chart because you are connecting with the pendulum.
You may have yes / no questions in between using the chart.

I have indicated the hinge point on the first chart so there is no confusion at
to where it is located.

The charts will intentionally be on it’s own page for convenience to review
related information and if desired, page removal purposes.

Since we will be reviewing charts, below is an example of a board. The

concept is the same. The hinge point is the pentacle in the middle. You ask
your questions and the
pendulum will
swing to your answer.
Archangel Chart
Archangels

There are many ways to work with the Archangels as they represent different
aspects of God’s Will. They all have different duties when it comes to
assisting those of the earth realm. The chart can be used to channel
information and guidance.

Ariel - is a protector of animals and nature

Azreal - known as the (destroyer angel) he doles out the wrath of God and
has the power to end life and transitions souls into the afterlife

Chameul - protector of justice, emotions and balance

Gabriel - the angel of resurrection

Haniel - healer of families and relationships

Jeremiel - gatekeeper of death, watches over the souls and guides them into
the afterlife

Jophiel - archangel of beauty, mental clarity and inspiration

Metatron - helps people with their spirituality

Michael - angel of protection and safety

Raguel - delivers judgement

Raphael - offers protection to those who travel

Raziel - the keeper of magic, the patron of secret wisdom and divine
knowledge and the mysteries of the universe

Sandalphon - assists with achieving goals and your deepest desires

Uriel - angel of wisdom, truth and gives direct messages from God

Zadkiel - helps with clear communication and helps to free people from
negative thinking and behaviour

Now that you have an Archangel Chart, your pendulum and a list of what
each angel represents and helps with, now you can start some
communication.

Lets just say you have been feeling a presence near you and it feels like an
angel. You can ask your pendulum if the presence you are feeling is an
angel. If you get a yes response you then can come to this chart and ask if
any of these angels are the presence you have been feeling. If one of those
angels, then there is probably a reason.

If your pendulum points to Raphael the angel who protects people on their
travels, you then can use some other charts to further ask questions. Perhaps
you want to use the days of the week, family or persons charts to narrow
down who they might be showing up for. This doesn’t mean that something
bad will potentially happen to anyone on their travels. It just might mean
something as simple as checking the road conditions or making sure they
don’t forget to pack their medications etc. The message could even be just to
let you know they will protect them on their travels so that you can rest easy.

Another scenario might be that your pendulum pointed to Raguel. You might
be totally caught off guard when you look up that he delivers judgement.
This might not make sense to you at all. If you have a slight indication as to
what this might mean for you, there are blank charts that you can write you
own possible answers you can use so that you can obtain clarity. If perhaps
this doesn’t make sense to you at all but you know in your heart you have
been feeling a bit down lately, you can use the chakra chart to see if your
chakra’s are aligned. It might shock you if you pendulum then swings on the
heart chakra. Perhaps you had a conflict with someone who overstepped and
hurt your feelings and you felt really judged by them. You might not have
thought of this situation in a while but it had impact on your energetic system
even if you are not aware of it. Once you have some direction, then you can
take the proper steps to become more balanced and have some resolution.

It is important to remember that these are tools to point you in the right
direction. Always let your intuition guide you.

Chakras

For people who are unfamiliar with the chakra system, this is a brief
overview.

Root the 1st Chakra: Color Red. Located at the base of the spine. This
chakra is your survival instincts and where you ground energetically. Key
words - I am.

Underactive root chakras can make people feel distrusting, mentally confused
and disconnected.

Overactive root chakras can make people anxious and fearful.

Sacral the 2nd Chakra: Color Orange. Located just below the belly button.
This chakra is your creativity and sexuality. Key words - I feel.

Underactive sacral chakras can make people feel detached, lonely and low
libido.

Overactive sacral chakras can make people feel dissatisfied with their life,
mood swings and possibly even addictions.

Solar Plexus the 3rd Chakra: Color Yellow. Located just above your belly
button. This is your power centre. Key words - I do.

Underactive solar plexus chakra can make people feel like they are not
worthy, make them more vulnerable and cause poor digestion.

Overactive solar plexus chakra can make people over controlling and critical
of others, stubborn, angry and aggressive.

Heart the 4th Chakra: Color Green. Located at the heart centre. This is all
your pure love. Key words - I love.

Underactive heart chakra can make people feel jealous, defensive, lonely and
mistrusting.

Overactive heart chakra can make people co-dependant on others for their
happiness and overreact with emotions.

Throat the 5th Chakra: Color Light Blue. Located at the throat. This is
your communication. Key words - I speak.

Underactive throat chakra can make people talk without thinking, sometimes
they become dishonest and insensitive and have difficulty expressing
themselves.

Overactive throat chakra can make people talk to much, stutter or even have
the inability to listen or see the views of other people.

Third Eye the 6th Chakra: Color Indigo. Located in the middle of your
forehead. This is your all seeing eye. Your intuition and sixth sense. Key
words - I see.

Underactive third eye chakra can make people moody and self absorbed.

Overactive third eye chakra can make people have bad dreams or even
feeling overly consumed with their emotions to where is has a negative
impact on their life.

Crown is the 7th Chakra: Color Violet. Located at the top of your head.
This is your inspiration. Key words - I know.

Underactive crown chakra can make people feel isolated and alone with a
deep disconnection from the world around them.

Overactive crown chakra can make people lack empathy, overthink situations
and have high anxiety.

This is a brief overview of some of the mental / emotional impacts of having

underactive and overactive chakras.

There are physical impacts to an individuals health if they stay in this state
for prolonged periods of time. The physical impacts can vary from person to
person as one chakra energy blockage can have a larger trickle effect on the
other chakras which in result affects overall physical health.
Vibrational Level & Associated Emotion
Vibrations and Emotions

The vibrational level and associated emotion chart is an excellent to gauge

your vibrational level when you are feeling a certain emotion. Sometimes we
can just feel off, not quite ourselves and need a bit more direction to pinpoint
the exact emotion we are feeling. We should be striving to be at high
vibrational level but as long as we are not at the lower end of the spectrum
there should not be any adverse impact.

This chart can help with balancing, healing and clearing our mind. When we
are vibrating at a low level, the negative emotions surface. When we are
vibrating at a higher level, we experience pleasant emotions.

If you find that you are vibrating at a lower level, there are many things you
can do to raise your vibration for your overall benefit.

Sound healing options are Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks or you can
YouTube healing frequencies and just listen, while being present in the
moment.

396 Hz (Root chakra issues) to move away from guilt, shame and grief.
Helps repair tissue.

417 Hz (Sacral chakra issues) removes negative energy and blockages.

Helps detox the body.

528 Hz (Solar chakra issues) healing and cleansing on all levels including
auric field, repairs human DNA.

639 Hz (Heart chakra issues) attracts love, harmony and balance.

741 Hz (Throat chakra issues) help release toxins in the body while repairing
tissue, helps someone with emotional blockages, clear negativity so that
communication flows.

825 Hz (Third Eye chakra issues) helps awaken intuition and remove fear
and self doubt.

936 Hz (Crown chakra issues) pineal gland activator, helps move to you into
a meditative state to promote natural healing and higher consciousness.

EFT Tapping:

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. This is tapping along your
meridian points in your body to open up the energy flow. Doing this several
times in sequence will help your energy flow therefore increasing your
vibrational level. This promotes healing on all levels. Eventually if you keep
doing this you will remember all the EFT tapping spots.

Start with massaging the points underneath your collarbones. This part is just
the beginning of your tapping routine.

Then, you tap on the centre of your chest.

You then tap between your eyebrows.

Tap the points on both of your temples.

Move down and tap on your cheeks.

Tap underneath your nose.

Tap underneath your lips.

You tap again on the centre of your chest.

Move down and tap the front of your ribs.

Tap the sides of the ribs.

Go back to your head, this is where you will tap the head all over, as all
meridian points start and end in that area.

Other:

Other fantastic ways to raise your vibrational level is to sing, dance, meditate,
positive visualization and mantras, relaxing baths or just plainly do
something that bring you happiness and peace. Self love manifests happiness
and happiness results into higher vibrational levels. Having gratitude will
also give you positive energies therefore raising vibrational levels through the
euphoria feelings.
Demonic Divinities
Demonic Divinities

There are nine demonic divinities. They represent the foundational energy of
the universe. This chart can be used to confirm which Daemon you are
working with or perhaps which one you should be working with.

Satan - represents all of the 9

Lucifer - air elemental (Aquarius, Gemini, Libra)

Flereous - fire elemental (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

Leviathan - water elemental (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio)

Belial - earth elemental (Capricorn,Taurus, Virgo)

Unsere - life

Amducious - destruction (negative polarity)

Verrine - health (positive polarity)

Eurynomous - death

If you have a relationship or interest in working with daemons this chart can
point you in the right direction. You then have a starting point to begin to
learn of that divinity and establish a relationship.

If you are feeling bored in your life, wanting for something but you don’t
know what. An example would be that you use this chart to look for
direction and your pendulum points to Eurynomous the daemon of death.
Don’t be alarmed. This could mean that you need to end something to start
something new. It could also mean that the old you is no more and the things
that brought you happiness in the past no longer serve you and that you need
to find something new.

Another example would be that you are wanting to improve your relationship
with your spouse and your pendulum swings to to Belial, the earth elemental.
This could indicate that the personality characteristics need to be looked at of
Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo. If those are neither your sign or your partners,
ask yourself if there are things you should look to for re-establishing a
connection. The earth element connects us to the physical world. This could
possible indicate that it is the physical aspect of your relationship is what you
need to work on.
Forms of Divination
Forms of Divination

There are so many forms of divination, many you may never have heard of.
Perhaps there is a form of divination that you were meant to practice, maybe
it is in your cellular ancestry. There is a chance that there is a form of
divination that will resonate with your energy better than others. There is one
way to find out, you can ask your pendulum.

Astrology - forecasting of events through observation of the planets, stars,

sun and moon.

Augury - interpreting messages through omens and their timing of when

they are seen.

Automatic Writing - the writer moving their pencil without being conscious
of what they are writing.

Carromancy - interpreting messages from the shapes of hot wax being

poured onto cold water.

Cartomancy - predicting outcomes or giving insight to current situations

through random selection of cards.

Cleromancy - predicting outcomes by means that would seem random but it

is believed that the outcomes are the will of a deity eg: rolling of dice.

Dowsing - interpreting messages from metal rods or a pendulum.

Geomancy - interpreting messages through the shapes, lines and texture of

the earth after you throw it on the ground.

Hydromancy - reading the appearance or motion of liquids.

Mediumship - mediating communication between the living and the spirit

world.

Oneiromancy - interpretation of dreams.

Osteomancy - reading messages in the way bones are thrown down, shapes
and marks are at times carved into the bones.

Psychometry - ability to receive messages by touching inanimate objects.

Pyromancy - interpreting messages by means of reading flames or fire.

Scrying - receiving messages through a reflective surface (crystal ball or

mirror).

Somatomancy - this is reading messages based on the body, an example

would be palm reading or hand reading.

Tasseomancy - interpreting messages in the shapes and position of tea

leaves.
Percentage Chart
Percentage Chart

The percentage chart can be used to ask the percentage of your yes / no
answer. It also can be use to ask the percentage of accuracy to the outcome
of your question.

This chart is also good to see the charge your tool is holding at that moment.
Bovis Chart
Bovis Chart

The Bovis chart measures Bovis units. These units are measurement for life
energy (Prana or Chi). To measure substances that come into contact with
our body, will give you an idea of the influence it has as well.

A couple of factors that influence the ratings of food can be long storage
before consumption or non-organic cultivation.

Under 6000 BE - energy consuming

6,500 BE - neutral value - healthy

Over 6,500 BE - energy giving

Ideally you want to come into contact or ingest things that have the highest
possible Bovis values. Doing things that raise your vibration will also raise
your Bovis values.

A range of 7,000 to 10,000 Bovis units reflect the average healthy person.

reincarnate to earth but somewhere else. Star and planet based that is light
years away.

Ancestral Guide - generations before you that hold knowledge in your cell
or in spirit form.

Guardian Angel - an angel from heaven that watches over you. Daemons
are divine energy sources and were also angels. It is believed that a guardian
angel as well as a daemon are assigned to you at birth. Both are present to
support and protect you. If you want to know of your Daemon you can use
the Daemon Divinity chart. Remember daemons are also a form of a guardian
angel.

Ascended Master - high-vibrational energy that assist with your own

ascension (connection with the spiritual forces of the universe).

Master Teacher Guide - is one who assists you throughout many

incarnations, they aid by infusing with healing energies and help you have
new insights.

No matter what religion or spiritual practice you believe in, one common
theme is that we all have guides. These guides are entities that remain as a
spirit for the sole purpose of watching over the living. The pendulum can
help you connect to your guides and understand what guides are with you.

Guides can be called upon for support and guidance to help you in your daily
life, either with struggles or for your victories.

If there is something that is listed that is not part of your belief system, that is
okay. This book is written to be useful for all practices. Take what resonates
and leave the rest.
Left Handed Yes/No/Maybe Chart
Right Handed Yes/No/Maybe Chart
Right Hand / Left Hand Explanation

When using a chart for yes / no / maybe questions, the yes should be on the
non dominate side.

The opposite side is used for left-handed and right-handed people because
they have differences in their brain asymmetry. This affects characteristics
that differ between the hemispheres at a functional level.
Meridian Chart
Meridians

Meridians are considered passageways throughout the body that allow the
proper flow of energy. These 12 standard meridians are divided into Yin and
Yang groupings.

Yin organs are solid. They store our energy.

Yang organs are hollow. They transform and transmit energy.

The meridian chart can help you pin point an area where your energy can be
blocked.

Yin yoga is excellent at creating conditions in which the energetic pathways

open up and allow the energy to flow properly.

Remember you could have physical symptoms manifest in one area that can
be the result of an energy blockage in another area.

An example would be constipation. This could be a result of a blocked or

closed root chakra and/or energy blockage in your large intestine.
Psychic Abilities Chart

Connecting to your Pendulum and Divining Rods

Connect the pendulum to your own energy by carrying it with you or sleeping
with it in your pillowcase. The more you use your tools the more they will
connect with your energy.

With both the pendulum and divining rods, it is important to continue

practicing with them even when you are not getting clear or strong answers.

Working with and physically handling your tools will connect them to your
energy.

Some practice techniques you can do that will help you connect with your
tools are:

1. Put an item like a crystal or a coin under a non transparent drinking

glass, mix this glass among other matching glasses that do not have an
item. Ask your tool to tell you which glass has the item underneath it.
Hold your tool over top of each glass and ask the question and see which
glass gets a yes and no response.

2. Have someone hide something flat under an area rug in your home. Use
your tool to find which area rug has the hidden item, either by hovering
over top and waiting for the answer or by having your tool point you in
the right direction.

3. Use your tools often asking them to show you a yes or no answer or
using boards/charts.

4. Regularly cleansing your tools if you are using pendulums that are
crystals as they hold and store energy. Tools that are metal or wood
should not require regular cleansing unless you are not getting accurate
answers.

5. You can bless or anoint your tools with oils and incense.

Note: There is some thought that when practicing any form of divination that
hearing you are incorrect can discourage your psyche and therefore is not
encouraged by all.
Cleansing your Tools

By cleansing your tools, you release them of any excess or negative energy.
If you find that they are not working properly, then they are probably due for
a cleansing.

Cleansing regularly ensures that there is no barrier to the tool connecting with
your energy.

Items can be cleansed by using smoke, running water, sunlight, moonlight,

cleansing crystals or even your breath.

As long as what you are using is being used with the intent to cleanse.

When you receive your items, it is good practice to give them a good cleanse
prior to use. It is up to you if you decide to let others handle your divination
tools however if someone else touches them, their energy will linger therefore
they will need to be cleansed. Some tools will not work for others as the
tools have bonded with you.
Alternative Practices

The following are not required practices but are ways that you can possibly
increase your vibration and the area in which you are going to be practicing
your divination.

Bells - bells can be rung in the space in where you are to be practicing, the
vibration of the bell is known to not only cleanse the area but acts as a beacon
to call in spirits

Light a candle - on a symbolic level, lighting a candle represents the five

elements: earth, air, fire, water and spirit. The wick and the base signify earth
and are vital for keeping the flame steady. The wax which transforms from a
solid then to a gas emulates water. Oxygen is representative of air and keeps
the flame lit. The flame is the fire, the element of transformation and rebirth.
Lastly the intent is your spirit.

Each of the four elements have significant power of their own and you are
always wanting to connect to spirit therefore lighting the candle with your
intention.

Circle casting - you can cast a circle to create an energetic space in which to
work. There are different thought processes whether or not clockwise
(Deosil) or counter clockwise ( Widdershins) is the correct way to cast a
proper circle. This is all dependant on your individual preference.

Some people believe that going counter clockwise is to banish negative

energy and clockwise draws in energy. This is based on the moon phases.

Others believe that counter clockwise opens their energetic space and
clockwise closes the space. This is based on the planetary placement and
rotation, as well as the sun (rising and setting in counter clockwise motion).

As you can see, neither practice is incorrect. I suggest that you try both
methods out and see what feels right for you. If you want to cast a circle
before your divination practice, it is really to just create a sacred space and
when you are done you release your circle by going the opposite way. The
purpose of creating a circle is to intentionally cleanse your space and call in
energy in which to do your divination work.

Talisman - this would be any object that you have that makes to you feel
connected to something. This something can be spirit, an ancestor that you
feel watches over you, anything that would make you feel a higher vibration.

Offerings and thanks - if you are wanting to connect with a particular spirit,
ancestor or guide, it is respectful to have an offering available. This could be
some food or drink that will be then left outside for nature once you are
done. It is always respectful to say thank you for the guidance you have
received.

There are many different ways that you can set your stage to conduct your
readings. It is important to remember that if you are feeling relaxed and
connected to spirit, then that is all that matters. If setting your stage makes
you feel more connected, then you will be more connected.
Auric field and Energy Healing

Our auric field is the energetic layers that surround our bodies. We draw in
energy into our body though our chakras (energy centres). Animals and
objects also have an auric field. Since the topic on energy healing and auric
fields are extremely extensive and require a book all on its own, I will only
slightly skim the topics in how the rods can be used for those purposes.

Divining rods can be used straight in front of you and you can walk towards
someone and the rods will open into the Y shape. The left moving far to the
left and the right moving far to the right. The rods can detect someones
energetic field. When someone stands too close to you and it feels very
uncomfortable, that is because they are in your energetic space, your auric
field. The rods can be used to determine that perimeter of energetic space.

If you have someone laying down and you hold the rods over their chakra
centres, the rods will cross to an X to indicate chakras that are under active,
clogged or not aligned. The rods will open to a Y for those chakra centres
that are overactive and expending too much energy.

What people want is to have the rods stay in place. Properly spaced when
you hold them in front of you and over the chakra centres. This means that
the chakra vortex is in tune and balanced. The chakras are then exchanging
information within your body, mind, emotions and intuition through all the
layers of the body energetic field.

A pendulum can also be used to find out the health of each chakra. One way
is using your pendulum and a pendulum chakra chart. You can ask the
pendulum questions as it is over each chakra section and read how the
pendulum swings. How the pendulum will swing will vary depending the
pendulum.

The pendulum can also be held over each chakra centre with the person
laying on a table. Each chakra should spin at a nice pace and have a nice
circular motion. If the pendulum is spinning very fast and very large that
would indicate an overactive chakra. If the swing is moving very slow and a
small circle then that chakra is under active.

You can help balance these chakras through energy work or even physically
manipulating the pendulum yourself. If a chakra is spinning too fast then
hold the fob and make slow circular motions over the chakra with the intent
of balancing. Visualize the chakra system coming into balance. This would
be the same thing if the chakra is moving slow, that with the same intent and
visualization process, swing your pendulum to a nice rhythm over the chakra.

It is a common belief that when the chakra system is not working properly
that illness and disruption starts to manifest. This can be mental, emotional,
spiritual and physical health. Energy healers can help the person heal by
identifying the chakra with the issue and from there practice a multitude of
ways to help the chakra come back into balance.

For people who are not familiar with the chakra system, this is a brief
overview.

Root the 1st Chakra: Color Red. Located at the pelvic area. This chakra is
your survival instincts and where you ground energetically. Key words is I
am.

Sacral the 2nd Chakra: Color Orange. Located just below the belly button.
This chakra is your creativity and sexuality. Key words is I feel.

Solar Plexus the 3rd Chakra: Color Yellow. Located just above your belly
button. This is your power centre. Key words is I do.

Heart the 4th Chakra: Color Green. Located at the heart centre. This is all
your pure love. Key words is I love.

Throat the 5th Chakra: Color Light Blue. Located at the throat. This is
your communication. Key words is I speak.

Third Eye the 6th Chakra: Color Indigo. Located in the middle of your
forehead. This is your all seeing eye. Your intuition and sixth sense. Key
words is I see.

Crown is the 7th Chakra: Color Violet. Located at the top of your head.
This is your inspiration. Key words is I know.

If someone is an abuse survivor or say just silenced a lot by others in their

life, this could adversely affect their throat chakra. This could result in the
person have a closed or slightly closed, even boggy or clogged throat chakra.
The symptoms would manifest as feeling timid or shy, talking without
thinking, social anxiety or even just difficulty expressing themselves. Having
work done on this chakra to bring it back to balance, the individual will be
able to communicate better, organize their thoughts and handle social
situations better.

Let’s say someone had an overactive heart chakra, their symptoms could be
having no personal boundaries and/or putting other people’s needs over their
own. Think of energy healing as counselling for the energetic part of a
person. This is never to replace professional help but works beautifully in
conjunction with counselling for the persons mind, body and spirit
perspective.

It is important with any type of energy work that both the practitioner and
treated person drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. For the practitioner,
it is important to constantly ground yourself and release yourself of the
energy you have absorbed through transfer when treating someone.
Decrees

Decrees are ordering or demanding statements. Many who use divining rods
and pendulums use Decrees. These statements force the change or direction
willed by the practitioner. As much as these might be very similar to
manifestation statements which are done as if you have what you are trying to
manifest, decrees are very different.

It is of my practice that working with any sort of spirits or someone’s energy

source, that a kind and compassionate approach is always the best practice.

If you are wanting to use your pendulum or divining rods for divination
(receiving messages or answers from spirit) demanding is not the best
approach. If you are wanting answers that will directly help you then you
would want spirit to put in the effort to give you the best answer.

For example, should I cut my hair? I might get a yes answer but then get
dumped by my boyfriend or made fun of by my friends. Cutting my hair
might have solved my issue but created another one. If you are respectful
and establish a relationship with the spirits that come to you, you might have
not receive a firm answer. You don’t want spirit to just say yes but perhaps
give you a maybe so that you can ask more questions. This is to make the
most of your question and answer period for your best interest and having the
spirit equally invested in what is for your highest good.

Part of being a good divination practitioner is to know that you have to look
at all possible scenarios when looking at the outcomes or answers. You want
to ask the right questions and follow up with the appropriate actions based on
the answers you receive.

Another point of view is that if you say you demand only communication
with a particular spirit or energy source because you are afraid of what types
of energy may come in, you are restricting what spirits can come to you.

An example of this would be, you demand to only communicate with a

certain Angel but your grandmother is there and she wants to guide you. You
just prevented her from communicating with you. When you put in
restrictions, you are limiting your own experience.

Decrees when it comes to energetic healing can also be controversial, it is for

me anyways. You can create a decree to command or demand that an illness
leave someone’s body. I can say with most confidence that someone who
has stage 4 cancer, you will not be successful in ridding someone of their
cancer.

It is of my experience that using manifesting statements such as “my body

feels good and rejuvenated” or “I am healthy” is more successful than
demanding the cancer be gone. Intention statements using positive words
and worded like you have what you are requesting, rebuilds new neural
pathways in the brain. Positive words are important, you don’t want to say “I
have no depression” because depression might be the only word heard and
then you end up with more. I am happy is a better choice of wording.

A Decree statement can be something like the following “In the name of
(insert any deity or divinity) decree that all negative energy that is embedded
in (name of individual) be transmuted into positive energy”. You can take
your pendulum and spin it with your own physical force in the counter
clockwise (banishing direction) over the person while stating your Decree.
You then can test by the movements of your pendulum whether or not this
was successful. Decrees like that have been known to be useful and
effective.

My question would be, do I have the authority to use the name of a deity or
divinity for the purposes I see fit? No-one likes a name dropper, especially
without permission or an established relationship. In interfering energetically
with the path the person’s soul has set out for them, for what ever learning
purpose their spirit had intended, are you doing the right thing? I believe that
if someone set out a path for themselves it might have been a path too
difficult to endure and intervention is okay to ease that path. There is a lot to
think about when you are getting involved energetically. Usually the
involvement is emotionally charged on our behalf when it is someone close
to us, so thought needs to be given on the best course of involvement.
I suppose that would come down to what your own belief system is.
Energetically I believe that it is not the commanding or demanding of
something that is making something work. My belief is that it is the shift in
the persons energetic belief system that things will be better that is what
makes it effective. I feel it is a slippery slope to work from a direction where
the other person’s perspective is that you are curing or fixing them.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that you definitely can manipulate energetic
forces to aid in someone’s struggles but it is responsible to think of the larger
impact and what the possible outcomes will be.

People will also look for Decrees that are already written out, laid out
perfectly for them to repeat and mimic. It is also my belief and experience,
that the best rituals of any kind are conducted with a base knowledge of what
you are doing and what intuitively feels right. Intent is everything. Always
follow your gut and bones instinct and remember you are the maker of your
world and reality.
Incorrect Answers

There are many reasons why you may be receiving incorrect answers. After
you ask to show a yes response and a no response, try asking questions that
you know are accurate. An example would be “I am wearing a blue shirt?” if
your answer is incorrect there are a few things you can do.

1) cleanse your tool

2) try to reground and centre yourself

3) ensure there are no external distractions

4) reword your question, sometimes questions are too vague or not clear,
maybe what you are wearing is really called a blouse not a shirt, look for
those little things in your question

5) look internally and see if you are desiring the response you are receiving,
sometimes you can influence the answer so it is important to ask from an
impartial stance

6) if someone else is using your tools, they may not be charged

energetically to them or they have not grounded

7) ensure the you are holding your tools properly

8) look at any external reasons, is there breeze or are you trying to do your
reading near electronics

There are a variety of reasons why you may not receive a correct answer.

There is also the reason that perhaps at the time you are asking your question,
the answer that is given is the most likely outcome at that time. When you
ask questions about the future, some events are what would be considered
written in stone. Other events are subject to change depending on the
independent choice and free will. It is good to record your questions and the
answers so you can look back and assess the accuracy. After practice you
will learn how your individual tool likes to be communicated with.

Do not get discouraged, the more you connect, practice and learn your tool,
you will see the accuracy in its workings.
