1. Connect the C64 TERMINAL, RS-232 Cable

- Connect the 3M connector to the TERMINAL port on the C64
- Connect the D-SUB 9-pin connector to COM1 of the personal computer

2. Open GX Developer
- Click on shortcut icon

3. Open ‘New project’

- Click on ‘Project’
- Select ‘New project…’

4. Select ‘New Project’ settings

- Select ‘QnACPU’, for PLC series
- Select ‘Q4A’, for PLC type
- Select ‘Ladder’, for Program type
- Select ‘Do not use label’, for Label setting

5. Open ‘Transfer setup’ screen

- Click on ‘Online’
- Select ‘Transfer setup…’

6. Perform ‘Connection Test’

- Click on the ‘Connection test’ box

- Confirm that the connection test is successful

7. Read the PLC from the C64

- Click on ‘Online’
- Select ‘Read from PLC…’

- Check ‘MAIN’ and ‘M1MAIN’

- Click on ‘Execute’

- Click ‘Yes[Y] to overwrite MAIN

- Verify that ‘MAIN’ and ‘M1MAIN’ are read
