Recommendations to common "Free Tier, General Info & Getting Started" questions

You can use Free Tier to test certain AWS services free-of-charge within specified usage limits. Accounts that are
eligible for AWS Free Tier can still generate charges based on usage outside the specifications of Free Tier:

If your AWS resources exceed what's covered by the Free Tier specifications, you will be charged standard,
pay-as-you-go service rates for any active resources.
To avoid exceeding Free Tier usage limits, we strongly recommend that you track your usage. Learn more
here .
After your Free Tier period ends, you will be charged standard, pay-as-you-go service rates for any active
resources.

Follow these steps to manage your AWS resources and prevent unwanted charges:

1. Open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console for your account. View the line items for each
service by AWS Region that contributed to your Free Tier usage for the month.
2. If you don’t require AWS resources, open the AWS Management Console and search for the service name.
Delete resources that you don’t need, so that you don’t exceed the Free Tier monthly limit and incur
unexpected charges.

Note: Closing your account won’t automatically delete your resources and you might still be charged.
