The theme of our 2021 Virtual Student Conference is:

Thinking Employability

Where we will be exploring how you can take the initiative and opportunities afforded to
you, presenting yourself as the best candidate that you can be.

As part of the Student Conference you will take part in an experiential learning activity
which will challenge many of your transversal skills and we would like you to undertake
some pre-conference research work within your working groups of 5.

In your groups of 5 please contact at least

3 recruitment companies
and
3 Companies, speak with their Human Resources departments

We wish you to ask:

“What are the top 3 generic questions that they ask at interview stage to potential new
recruits?”

Then as a group we want you to:

“Think about how you would answer these questions yourself, if you were applying for a
job”

Note: you may have to contact several companies to gain the information. Contact a diverse range of
companies. As this is a group exercise would expect your group to meet virtually at some point between now
and the start of the conference to present an informed report on your findings.
