Name of Work: Purchase of Ethernet to optical converters and patch cords for extending Malappuram RTU Data to Areekode. Estimate Amount: Rs-48000/-(Rupees Forty Eight Thousand Only) The LD kalamassery is receiving data from Malappuram RTU, through BSNL Broadband channel only. Now fiber connectivity is available from Malappuram to nearby SDH stations of like Areekode and Malaparamba, Through the newly installed fiber we can send Malappuram data to Areekode or Malaparamba station using single mode media converters. From this SDH station, we can configure separate Ethernet channel to LD Kalamassery. By this way we can use our own reliable fiber connectivity and SDH channel for Malappuram RTU data. BSNL Broadband MPLS connectivity is not reliable and most of time data is interruption occurs due to line problem. Annual payment of BSNL MPLS connection is also very high. At Areekode station for IP phone connectivity from communication room to control room separate multimode media converters is also required. Hence this estimate is prepared. In this estimate two nofsingle mode and multimode industrial type converters and patch cords are included. The rate is arrived based on Quotation received from one of the authorized supplier. The fund required for the above extent may be met from the budget provision under System Operation Circle, Kannur for the year 2022-23 and may be debited to that A/C head, Assistant Engineer.
