Jaisalmer : The desert city is also called the Golden city thanks to the color it gets from the
yellow sandstone used for construction of the buildings. Jaisalmar is one the last big towns in
Rajasthan closest to the India Pakistan border and stands in the heart of the Thar Desert.

Gadsisar Lake: Maharaja of Jaisalmer constructed this lake in 1400 AD. The lake was originally
built as a conservation reservoir for rainwater harvesting; during the ancient times, and it
happened to be one of the major water sources for the entire city.

also boasts outstanding art and sculpture with beautiful paintings on the interior walls. As you
enter the Haveli, you can see a pair of lifelike sandstone tuskers guarding the gate, lending it a
