BE ALL YOU CAN BE!
Setting Up a Athena Leader360 Event
Background
In preparation for your upcoming course, you are assigned to complete a Leader360 (LDR360) assessment.
The LDR360 provides feedback on your observable leader behaviors from multiple perspectives of
individuals who have worked with you (e.g., peers, subordinates, and superiors) in relation to how you see
yourself. The LDR360 provides feedback on how well you are leading based on Army competencies and
attributes and gives you an opportunity to engage in informed self-development.

KEY TASKS:
Preparation:
First, identify at least 5 subordinates, 5 peers, and 1 superior from your operational unit or organization
with whom you have worked that you feel will give you candid feedback, positive and negative, in order
to get the best picture of your leadership skills.
Next, gather their enterprise email addresses (must have CAC access) and send each one a personal
email requesting that they provide honest feedback to your LDR360 assessment to help you in your
development as a leader.
Ask them to access the website (https://aeas.army.mil) to ensure they have an active account. This is
also where they will be able to click on your name and provide input after you set up your event.
Execution:
Log on to the Army Enterprise Assessment System (AEAS) at https://aeas.army.mil. Be sure to use the
CAC/PKI Login link on EAMS-A.
Go to the Event Center on upper left side of the AEAS homepage. Select the “Self-Initiated” icon and
then the Leader360 start button.
Read and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Leader360 event.
Click on the Add/Remove Assessors tab. Use the list of emails of subordinates, peers, and superiors
from the preparation step above and add them as Assessors under the appropriate category (search by
email address rather than name). Note: you must receive feedback from at least 1 superior, 5 peers and
5 subordinates to receive a full report. You may add additional assessors at a later time if you do not
receive sufficient responses for a feedback report.
Go to the Event Status tab and change the start date of the event to “today” and press “submit change”
button. The end date will automatically default for 3 weeks but you may change that if needed.
Next, go to the Notifications tab and click “Send” to send an automated email invite to your assessors.
Finally, go to the Assessments section of the AEAS homepage. Click on your name in the Assessed
Leader column to complete your self-assessment.
Feedback:
Until the end date, you can check the status of feedback received on the Event Status tab and invite
additional assessors if needed. You can also adjust the end date to allow more time for assessors to
respond if needed. Once the event is closed, it cannot be reopened.
After the end date is reached, your feedback report will populate in your AEAS Report Library if you have
completed your self-assessment and received feedback from at least 1 superior, 5 peers, and 5
subordinates. You will receive a partial report if you complete your self-assessment and receive feedback
from at least 5 assessors.
After completion, you can access the Report Library at any time to view your results. Use the AEAS
Printing Guide to save a .pdf document (https://aeas.army.mil/info/PrintingGuide.aspx).
Action Plan:
Read your feedback and reflect on the input provided. You do not have to share your results with anyone
but feel free to discuss your results with a trusted coach or mentor if you wish. Identify the developmental
areas you want to work on first.

Assessor Selection Criteria
The most important part of setting up a Leader360 assessment is selecting assessors who know you
well and will provide accurate and honest input on your leadership behaviors so you can receive
insightful feedback to support your self-development. Use the diagram below to support optimal
assessor selection.

Selecting assessors can be challenging. Use the table below as an example to help identify assessors for a
