MOTOR VEHICLE TYPES UNDER DILG RO’s APPROVAL
Engine Displacement depends on the intended use/user (BC 2022-1 Annex A)
Car (sedan or hatchback) with an engine displacement not exceeding 1800cc,
if gasoline-fed or diesel-fed, and/or with an engine not exceeding 4-cylinder
Passenger Van and Pick-Up Type Vehicle with engine displacement not
exceeding 2500cc, if gasoline-fed, or 3000cc, if diesel-fed, and/or with an
engine not exceeding 4-cylinder
Multi-Purpose Vehicle (former known as AUV/CUV), with an engine
displacement not exceeding 2000cc, if gasoline-fed or 2800cc, if diesel-fed,
and with an engine not exceeding 4-cylinder
Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with an engine displacement not exceeding
2700cc, if gasoline-fed, or 3000cc, if diesel-fed, and/or with an engine not
exceeding 4-cylinder

Van (formerly known as MPV) with engine displacement not exceeding
2500cc for gasoline-fed, or 2800cc for diesel-fed, and not exceeding 3-
