Indian Stamp (Haryana Amendment) Act, 19971

AN ACT to amend the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, in its application to the State of Haryana.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Forty-eighth year of the Republic
of India as follows:—
1. Short title.— This Act may be called the Indian Stamp (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1997.
2. Amendment of section 47A of Central Act 2 of 1899.— In sub-section (4) of section 47A of
the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, for the words “the District judge”, the words “the Commissioner of
Division” shall be substituted.
