renewal of faith, five daily prayers, generosity toward others
and pilgrimage.

Sibug Sibug Festival in Zamboanga Sibugay to
commemorate the founding of the province and to give
Traditions & thanks to their patron. Highlight of the feast is the “Talaba
Cultures Longest Grill”. It is also famous because of the juiciest,
meatiest, and most delicious taste of Sibugay oysters.
The Zamboangueño courtship and traditions are elaborate
and regulated by a long list of required social graces.
The role of the father as the family model quite stricte
specially with daughters, and the mother as the light of the
family whose kingdom was the home, or table manners that
required a code of courtesy, there spect for elders and
visitors that saw children relegated to their rooms until
guests had left, or the Zamboangueño who was often called
un hombrede cojones.
