Beauty of His Plans

Preaching.com Staff

Time, in its essence, is a fundamental part of our existence—a constant companion that shapes
our lives, punctuating our days with moments of joy, sorrow, and everything in between. Yet,
have you ever paused to consider the significance and beauty hidden within the fabric of time?

To unravel this mystery, we turn to the timeless wisdom found in Ecclesiastes 3:1-11. This
passage, penned by the wise King Solomon, provides a profound glimpse into the profound
orchestration of time under the hand of our loving Creator. As we delve into these verses, we
will explore the divine dance between God’s perfect timing and the breathtaking beauty of His
plans.

So, let us embark on this journey together, opening our hearts and minds to the profound truths
woven into the tapestry of time. May we be inspired, encouraged, and transformed as we
discover the profound beauty hidden within God’s perfect timing.

Understanding God’s Design for Time

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, the wise writer highlights the profound concept of seasons and the cyclical
nature of life. We see a poetic portrayal of the ebb and flow, the rise and fall, the planting and
uprooting that define our earthly existence. Through these verses, God reveals that time is not a
random sequence of events but a meticulously crafted framework designed by Him.

As we reflect on this passage, we are reminded that time is a precious gift from God. He bestows
upon us the privilege to experience the various seasons of life, each with its unique purpose and
beauty. We are called to embrace laughter and celebration in moments of joy. In seasons of grief,
we find solace in knowing that God is near, comforting, and guiding us through the valley.

However, it’s essential to recognize the stark contrast between God’s eternal perspective and our
limited understanding of time. We often perceive time solely in the present moment or as a linear
progression, but God encompasses the past, present, and future in His divine sovereignty. His
plans extend beyond our temporal boundaries, interweaving the threads of our lives with a grand
tapestry that we cannot fully comprehend.

With a glimpse into the beauty of God’s design for the time, let us delve deeper into His perfect
timing and the remarkable plans He has for each of us.
Embracing God’s Timing
Trusting in God’s timing is a crucial aspect of our faith journey. Often, His timing may not align
with our expectations or the timelines we’ve set for ourselves. In these moments, we are called to
surrender our desires and trust the One who sees the bigger picture.

Throughout Scripture, we find numerous examples of individuals who patiently waited for God’s
perfect timing. Consider the story of Abraham and Sarah, who longed for a child but had to wait
until their old age for Isaac to be born. Joseph, too, experienced years of hardship and
imprisonment before God elevated him to a position of authority. And let us not forget David,
who was anointed king but had to wait for God’s appointed time to ascend to the throne.

While waiting can be challenging, it is often in these moments that we experience profound
growth, refinement, and a deepening of our relationship with God. Through waiting, our
character is shaped, our faith is tested, and our reliance on God is strengthened. In the waiting,
we learn to let go of our plans and align our hearts with God’s perfect timing.

Though waiting for God’s timing may require patience and endurance, we can rest assured that
His plans are always worth the wait.

Discovering the Beauty in God’s Plans

God’s plans are not limited by our human understanding or constrained by our desires and
expectations. They are perfect, encompassing a depth and wisdom that surpass our finite
comprehension. When we align ourselves with God’s timing, we open ourselves to a world of
blessings, opportunities, and transformative experiences.

God’s timing can bring forth blessings beyond what we could ever imagine. As we surrender our
plans to Him, we allow Him to work in our lives in ways that surpass our wildest dreams. In His
perfect timing, doors open, relationships flourish, and circumstances align for our ultimate good
and His glory.

Throughout history and countless individuals’ lives today, we see the beauty of God’s plans
unfold. Stories of divine interventions, unexpected providence, and miraculous turnarounds serve
as testaments to the breathtaking beauty that emerges when we submit to God’s timing. These
personal testimonies witness the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, who never fails to fulfill
His promises and bring about His purposes in our lives.

In God’s perfect timing, His plans are fulfilled, His promises are realized, and His purposes are
accomplished.
Hope and Encouragement in God’s Timing
Waiting for God’s timing can often bring about struggles, frustrations, and even moments of
doubt. We may find ourselves questioning why things aren’t happening according to our timeline
or feeling weary in the waiting process. However, even in the midst of these challenges, we can
find hope and encouragement in God’s Word.

The Scriptures serve as a wellspring of comfort during seasons of waiting. They remind us that
we are not alone in our impatience and offer assurances of God’s faithfulness. Psalm 27:14
encourages us to “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the
Lord!” This verse reminds us that while waiting may require strength and courage, God is with
us, providing the necessary endurance.

Isaiah 40:31 offers further solace, assuring us that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their
strength. It paints a vivid picture of God’s sustaining power, likening it to the soaring wings of
eagles, the ability to run without weariness, and the capacity to walk without fainting. This verse
reminds us that as we wait for God’s timing, He equips us with the strength to persevere.

Moreover, as we reflect on the pages of Scripture, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness and
track record of fulfilling His promises in His perfect timing. From the birth of Jesus at the
appointed time (Galatians 4:4-5) to the liberation of the Israelites from Egypt, we witness God’s
impeccable timing throughout history. These stories serve as reminders that God is steadfast,
trustworthy, and true to His Word.

In times of waiting, let us hold on to the hope and encouragement found in Scripture, knowing
that God is faithful and His perfect timing will fulfill His promises.

Conclusion
As we close our time together, let us reflect on the profound truths we have explored. We have
delved into understanding God’s design for the time, embracing His timing, discovering the
beauty in His plans, and finding hope and encouragement in the waiting. God’s perfect timing
weaves a tapestry of purpose, blessing, and transformation in our lives.

Each of you is encouraged to trust in God’s timing, even when it feels challenging or uncertain.
Embrace the lessons, growth, and refinement from waiting upon Him. Remember that His
faithfulness knows no bounds and will fulfill His promises in His perfect timing.

In His Grip: Resting in the Promise of
Romans 8:28
Preaching.com Staff

Think for a moment about the challenges you’ve faced, the trials that have tested your faith, and
the moments when you felt overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. During these struggles, have
you ever wondered if there is any purpose or meaning behind them? Are they just random
events, or is there something greater at work?

In these moments of questioning and doubt, Romans 8:28 shines like a beacon of hope. It
reminds us that God is not distant or indifferent to our suffering. Instead, He is intimately
involved in every aspect of our lives, working everything together for our ultimate good.

Today, we will explore three key aspects of Romans 8:28 that will provide encouragement and
hope to each one of us. First, we’ll discover that God is in control, even when life seems chaotic.
Second, we’ll delve into the promise that all things work together for good, even during our
trials. And third, we’ll understand the significance of loving God and how it positions us to
experience the fulfillment of this promise.

God is in Control
Let’s turn our attention to the first aspect of Romans 8:28, which assures us of God’s unwavering
sovereignty over our lives. As we read these powerful words penned by the Apostle Paul, we are
reminded that “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who
have been called according to his purpose.”

Life is filled with challenges and uncertainties. We encounter unexpected setbacks,

disappointments, and trials that can shake our faith and leave us questioning God’s plan. In such
moments, it’s crucial to remember that we are not alone in our struggles. We serve a God who is
aware of every circumstance we face, and He remains in control, even when our circumstances
seem overwhelming.

It’s comforting to know that regardless of what we face—financial difficulties, health issues,
broken relationships, or any other trial—God is still in control. He sees the bigger picture, and
His purposes extend far beyond our immediate circumstances. When we surrender our lives to
Him, we can trust that He is actively working all things together for our good, even when we
cannot see it now.

Throughout Scripture, we find numerous examples of God’s faithfulness in turning difficult

situations for good. Consider the story of Joseph, who experienced betrayal by his brothers, was
sold into slavery, and endured years of imprisonment. Yet, in the end, God used Joseph’s trials to
position him as a key leader who saved his family and the nation of Egypt from famine. Another
example is the life of Job, who suffered great loss and adversity but ultimately witnessed the
restoration of all he had lost. These accounts are powerful reminders that our circumstances do
not limit God but can work miracles even in our most challenging situations.

Knowing that God is in control, let’s explore the second aspect of Romans 8:28—the promise
that all things work together for good.

All Things Work Together for Good

Reflecting on the phrase “all things” in Romans 8:28 reveals the breadth and depth of God’s
promise. It encompasses every aspect of our lives—both the pleasant and the painful, the joyous
and the sorrowful. Nothing is outside the scope of God’s ability to work for our ultimate good.
Even during the most challenging circumstances, we can hold onto the assurance that God is at
work, orchestrating events according to His divine plan.

It is important to understand that God’s definition of “good” may differ from our understanding.
While we often associate good with comfort, success, and immediate gratification, God’s
perspective extends beyond our temporal desires. His definition of good encompasses our
spiritual growth, character development, and eternal purposes. Sometimes, we perceive
difficulties or setbacks as opportunities for God to mold us, refine our faith, and shape us into
vessels for His glory.

Now that we have gained a deeper understanding of God’s ability to work all things for our good
let us explore the third and final aspect of Romans 8:28—the significance of loving God.

Those Who Love God

Romans 8:28 finds a condition attached to the promise—a condition of loving God. What does it
mean to truly love God? Loving God goes beyond mere sentiment or affection. It involves a
deep, intimate relationship with Him, characterized by obedience, trust, and surrender. When we
genuinely love God, our perspective on life changes. We begin to see our circumstances through
His love and purpose.

To truly love God means surrendering our will to His will. It means aligning our desires, plans,
and ambitions with His divine purposes. It requires letting go of our understanding and trusting
in His wisdom and guidance. When we surrender to God, we position ourselves to experience the
fullness of His promises, including the assurance that all things will work together for our good.

Consider how you can begin to deepen your love for God today. Cultivate a prayer life, seeking
His presence and wisdom in every situation. Engage in heartfelt worship, expressing your love
and adoration for Him. And most importantly, strive to obey His Word, for Jesus said, “If you
love me, keep my commands” (John 14:15). In this journey of loving God, we will discover the
joy and fulfillment of aligning our hearts with His.

With a deeper understanding of what it means to love God, we have explored the three key
aspects of Romans 8:28. These aspects—God’s control, His ability to work all things for good,
and the significance of loving Him—hold power to transform our lives and bring us rest in His
unfailing grip.

Conclusion
As we end our time together, let us reiterate the assurance and hope that Romans 8:28 brings to
our lives. This powerful promise reminds us that God is in control, that He can work all things
together for our good, and that those who love Him are the recipients of this divine plan. In a
world filled with uncertainties and trials, Romans 8:28 offers a firm foundation on which we can
stand.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be encouraged to trust God’s promises. Let go of your
worries, anxieties, and doubts, and find rest in His unfailing grip. Remember that He is always at
work, even amid your most challenging circumstances. Embrace His sovereignty, knowing He
holds your life in His loving hands.

As we go forth from this place, may we hold onto the promise of Romans 8:28 throughout our
week. Let it be a guiding light in our decisions, a source of comfort in our trials, and a reminder
of God’s faithfulness. Let us live each day with the assurance that our Heavenly Father is
working all things for our ultimate good.

LUMAGO o LUMAYO By Desiree Sarmiento-Hidalgo
Introduction: Last Sunday, Pastor Rudy preached about Leveling Up. Paano ba maglevel up ang
faith mo?
Plan
Discipline
Love
Apply/Act
ngayon believer kana. After being a Baby Christian, dapat lumalaki tayo.. Nagiging
Mature/Adult Christian. Problema minsan:
na) Now our topic isGROW UP! More specifically, grow up despite of/ LUMAGO SA
PANANAMPALATAYA SA KABILA NG.....problema, pandemic, personal battles in life, sakit
But in reality sa
pananampalataya. Nakakalungkot but yes. It is.
At dapat kayong magpakatatag hanggang wakas upang kayo'y
maging ganap at walang pagkukulang.” “The moment you stop growing, you start dying.”

This morning we need to understand na KAILANGAN NATING LUMAGO/MAGGROW SA

KABILA NG MGA PAGSUBOK NATIN SA BUHAY. SA KABILA NG PANDEMIC. FIRST
THING WE NEED TO KNOW... Ano yung tinutukoy nating Growth dito? Or PAGLAGO?
(Paano ba tayo lumalago?) -attending church (fed spiritually) -involvement of ministry PART
LANG MGA YAN NG PAGLAKI NATIN MGA KAPATID. Kapag sinabing Lumago ka or
Mag grow ka, SIGNS NA NAGGROW KA: Spiritual Growth means:
Becoming Christ like (namumunga kana)

Illustration(Plant): Ang halaman alam mong tumutubo yan kapag lumalaki na at the same time
***Same as with us Christians, ang Christianong
Plants: need air, water, sunlight and extra care to
grow. Christians: the same ***Pero paano naman kung may magsisimula nang magingsagabalsa
pagtubo nung halaman?
PINALIBUTAN NA NG MARAMING DAMO, NAGKAROON NG MALAKAS NA BAGYO,
will you still grow?
19) “Fed Himself” Pinakain nia yung sarili niya. In this time of situation, wala tayong ibang dapat
sa panahon ng kahirapan, it is your choice to feed yourself.
Wala na nagfofollow up sayo? Ito na ba ung magiging hadlang
para di ka maggrow? Lalo nung lockdown? Nung bata pa kami, from highschool, tinuruan na kami
magluto ng mga makakain in preparation for college. Kasi sinasabi nila, hindi habambuhay kasama nio
kami.
Same with us now! Hindi habambuhay nanjan si leader mo. Si ptr, ung mga preachers. Kailangan mong

YOU HAVE TO FEED YOURSELF.

Woman who bled for 12 years “She said to herself”

sikap/pagdedesisyon! David “Encourage himself in the Lord” “And David was greatly distressed; for the
people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and
for his daughters:but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” -1 Samuel 30:6 Aside from these
people, now the very highlight of this sermon is about the early Christians. LookBack: This morning we
will be looking back the life of the early church, early Christians kung paano sila lumago kahit na
maraming persecutions ang naranasan nila. Kung bakit maspinili nilang LUMAGO kesa LUMAYO.
