Environmental protection is a vital subject that impacts every country on the planet.

Some countries need

help with natural resource management and environmental protection. Myanmar, my homeland,
unfortunately, holds the second position globally for having the least environmental protection. I was born
in a dry zone and came from a farming background. The environmental issues affecting farmers in my
area are the main reasons for choosing a career in protecting the natural environment.
Pursuing the Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales
(UNSW) and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) shows my commitment to
environmental protection. The University of New South Wales's curriculum, including courses like
"Environmental Microbial Processes" and "Environmental Chemical Processes" and practical industry
training, prepares me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations. The Royal Melbourne
Institute of Technology focus on environmentally friendly urban planning, and electives like "Urban
Ecology" and "Advanced Technologies for Wastewater Reclamation" align with my goal of promoting
sustainability. Gaining professional experience at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology allows me
to enhance my skills and connect with the global environmental engineering community.
Furthermore, I will also learn a lot from experts like Dr.Margaret Ruth Fisher, a Senior Lecturer in
Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales. She is an expert in sustainability and
environmental engineering in biosolids processing and wastewater treatment.
In conclusion, pursuing a Master of Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales
and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology will equip me with the knowledge, skills, and
experience to contribute to environmental protection and natural resource management, especially in my
home country of Myanmar.
