s e-CIRCULAR TO MEMBERS CHARTERED TAX INSTITUTE OF MALAYSIA a Registration Number: 199101015436 (225750-7) e-CTIM TECH-DT 27/2024 18 March 2024 TECHNICAL - DIRECT TAXATION HASIL response on the issues arising from filing CP8D for year of remuneration 2023 via MyTax Further to the Institute's request to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (‘HASIL") to reinstate the filing of the CP8D using the TAeF system as reported in our e-CTIM TECH-DT 26/2024 dated 15 March 2024, we are pleased to update members that HASIL has responded accordingly as follows: 1) HASIL apologised for the inconvenience caused in relation to access to the e-Data Praisi 1 @-CP8D application through the TAeF module. 2) HASIL informed that beginning from 13 March 2024, CP8D can only be submitted using the role of employer or employer's representative through MyTax to ensure the integrity of taxpayers’ data are guaranteed 3) HASIL is taking immediate improvement actions to enable e-Data Praisi / e-CP8D to be accessed through TAeF system and it is expected to be available for use by 22 March 2024 (Friday) at the latest. 4) The submission of Form E and CP8D for the Year of Remuneration 2023 by e-filing has been extended until 30 April 2024 as stated in the Return Form Filing Programme for the Year 2024. 5) Asa temporary alternative, until the improvements on the TAeF system can be completed, tax agents can apply to be appointed as the employer's representative by the employers for the purpose of submitting CP8D.
