Ltd. (hereinafter termed as CEMC), Bhubaneswar, Odisha for carrying out various Environmental Monitoring and Analysis Work in different mine leases of OMC located in the district of Jajpur, Keonjhar and Sundergarh The laboratory division of M/s CEMC is assessed and Accreditated in accoradance with standard 'SO/EC 17025:2017 (General requirements for the Competence of Testing & Calibration ‘aboratories) in the field of TESTING by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The NABL Certificate Number is TC-6646 and is valid until 26.01.2024 Environmental Monitoring& Analysis Work of OMC includes monitoring analysis of various attributes of Air Quality, Water Quality, Noise Level, Waste Water Quality, Vehicular Emission and Soll Quality. Apart from these, various ether activities such as suggestions to control the pollution, This report presents the Environmental related data generated from the core and buffer zone of Bangur Chromite Mine of M/S OMC Ltd. located in district of Keonjhar, Odisha during “July 2023”. ‘Scope of the Work ‘The scope of work during “July 2023s as follows: | Ao, Partlutars | rrequency of monitoring | No.of stations | |. To carry out the Environmental Data Generation programme, CEMC in due consultation with OMC has identified different locations to collect the samples for various environmental components in and around the mining lease. The details of stations identified are tabulated below. The locations of monitoring/sampling stations are shown in Plate | & Il. ‘Ambient Air Quality (A) The prime objective of the ambient air quality study is to establish the existing ambient air quality in and around the mining lease area. The existing ambient air quality was monitored at six (6) locations. Monitoring was carried out for Particulate Matter (PMio & PMs) and Gaseous Pollutants (S02, NO; & CO). The monitoring is carried out as per the guideline stipulated by Central Pollution Control Board. Six Ambient Noise Stations have been identified and is carried out for 24 hours on hourly interval once in a month. One grab sample was collected from each point in a month and was analyzed various parameters as stipulated in the scope of work. The same locations are identified to measure the flow in the river. Surface Run Off water (SRW) In order to assess the quality of surface runoff water, four locations have been identified within the ‘mining lease through which runoffs gets discharged to the nearby streams/nala.
