Hello everyone, my name is Chris Wong, and I am the chairperson of

the Social Services Club. I am very happy to be here because I want to
promote a fund-raising event for helping the low-income families in the
community.
Firstly, I think the main problem faced by low-income families is the
lack of basic daily necessities. There is no doubt that low-income families
oCen needs to cut back on daily necessities to maintain other expenses
such as rent, taxes and transportation costs due to financial pressures. If
families cut back the food on their daily life, it is easy for them to lead
to nutritional imbalances in their health.
Then, I also think that if some low-income families have children,
their children will not receive a good education. As I mentioned above
because of financial pressure will not only reduce basic living needs but
will also affect the learning of some children. They may be unable to
obtain relatively high-quality education, which has limited their
children’s learning and development opportunities, which in turn affects
their ability to work in society.
Based on the above questions, I would like to promote a fundraiser.
In the activity, we will collect things that students no longer need, such as
some clothes. At the same time, we also hope that if the students have
some things that they can’t finish, such as packaged snacks.
The goal of this activity is to help low-income families reduce their
burden on daily life and different fields. I hope that all students can

I stand before you today as the chairperson of the Social Services Club. To reduce the burden on low-income
families in our community, I am honored to announce an upcoming fundraising event that aims to bring hope,

Your presence signifies your commitment to creating a more compassionate and inclusive society for all. It is

Good morning, everyone. In recent years, there have been many low-income grassroots families in Hong
Kong. The situation of many low-income families has not been able to improve quickly. How to help these
low-income families, we can donate to alleviate their financial difficulties.

Unfortunately, most people from low-income families are untrained workers; it is difficult for them to
quickly adapt to the requirements of the new economy, let alone seize new opportunities and completely
improve their economic situation.

Many low-income families don’t even have food and clothing. Their children live in hot and dark corners, with
very few square meters of living environment. The houses are poorly furnished and messy, with insufficient
equipment and daily necessities. The environment is poor. Those who take care of their children Insufficient
concepts of adult and child education.

The main problem of low income and poverty affects their daily life .Most of them are engaged in temporary
jobs, such as restaurant waiters, convenience store cashiers, gas station work-study students, distributing
advertising flyers, etc.

At last, your donation can help low-income families by providing them with training and retraining, so that
they have money to use when they face financial pressure. Donations can be used to improve the harsh

Good principal, teacher and student, I am chairperson of the Social Service Club. I'm going to promote a
fund-rasing event for help the low-income families in community. Now I will give an introduction to the event.
According to the Hong Kong Poverty Situation Report for 2020, before policy intervention, 23.6 per cent of
Hong Kong’s population – 1.653 million people – live in poverty. First of all, the low-income family are facing
to save daily expenses to pay for water, electricity, gas and housing expenses. Also, they may struggle to
afford basic necessities such as food, housing, healthcare, and education.
Second, the children who live in low-income family they are limited Access to Quality Education. Although
there is free education, they still cannot afford books and student meals. They lack resources to provide their
children with educational opportunities outside of school, such as tutoring or extracurricular activities. This can
affect students' academic and future development.
Last, the environment they live in affects their lives. Generally, the houses that low-income families live in
are relatively dilapidated, which will affect their children who are studying. Some of the equipment is already
dilapidated, but they cannot be repaired in order to maintain daily life. Moreover, the environment in some
areas is poor and there is less space, which will also affect their physical and mental health.
So,We will hold the School Concert at hall. It will also livestream your concert using a reliable virtual event
platform and enable sponsorship during live broadcast and on-site donation. Proceeds from the live broadcast
and on-site will be donated to low-income families to solve their daily expenses burden.
