What are maps?

A map is a representation or a drawing of the earth's surface, or a part of it, on a flat surface, according
to a scale. It could be hand drawn or printed. It helps us identify the places and locations within an area
helping us to navigate from one place to another.

What are globes?

A globe is a spherical model of Earth. Globes serve purposes similar to maps, but unlike maps, they do
not distort the surface that they portray except to scale it down. It helps us by showing the shape, size
and location of continents and oceans.

Not easy to identify small places
It cannot show large amount of Information
Can see half the globe at a time
Globes are not easy to use as they are 3D
There are only 3 types of globes, we us the
terrestrial globe.
Usually has Latitude and Longitude lines
