READING COMPREHENSION 20MARKS
Towns in Cameroon have good public transport system. In the capital city, Yaounde, there are many taxis. These are
usually shared taxis. When a shared taxi passes you, the driver will slow down, then you call out the place you want
to go to, and the driver will stop if he is going to your destination. If he is not going your destination, you wait for the
next available taxi. Motorbikes are not left out as far as means of transportation is concerned. They help to take
people to areas where taxis cannot get access to.
In urban areas, to leave from one town to another, buses, trains and transport vehicles are used. People who cannot
afford any of these means of transportation sometimes trek for several hours before reaching their destination.
